I am observing SYZ break out nicely this week. (and btw- thanks to 5i for its coverage of this company). I am curious if you would want to comment on the company at this time. I assume you would maintain at least a B- rating. The trading volume remains low, but perhaps it is becoming a bit more visible and may attract analyst coverage. Thanks for your opinion. Jim,
Q: In response to the earlier question today. Last night Colorado voters rejected by a wide margin( 15%) a proposition that would have increased setbacks for drilling . The proposition would have practically ended all new oil and gas drilling on non-federal lands. QST declined starting in August when the Proposition received enough votes to put it on the ballot, as QST currently gets more than 90% of its revenue from Colorado. Now that the risk is gone. Just a significantly, in New Mexico the new governor and lands commissioner have stated that they will be introducing regs very similar to the ones in Colorado which have been the catalyst for the marked increase of demand for QST's equipment in Colorado.
I would be interested in your comments on XERO Technologies. Located in Victoria and developing innovative electric motor technology. General comments + I assume it is a micro-cap and I assume it is high risk and suitable for a very small part of an investment portfolio.
Q: What is your opinion on Ts.B last earnings report? The stock dipped below $1.00, will the company survive and what are the consequences if it stays below $1.00?
Thanks,
George
Q: Caldwell Partners' stock price has been trending higher with trading volumes slightly higher too. I believe this is anticipation to fiscal 2018 results most likely due out next week and maybe a dividend increase too. Given the Company's strong balance sheet should the stock not trade at dividend yield of 5% or less implying a stock price of $1.75 prior to any dividend increase with more upside potential thereafter based on results and outlook for fiscal 2019?
Q: Hi 5i. What is your thoughts about today's news, the acquisition of Dealermine by Quorum. They say the acquisition is acretive right away and it doubles the size of Quorum to a revenue base in excess of C$25 million, the majority of which is recurring SaaS revenue.
Q: Another disappointing quarter judging by the market but I can't help but think there is value in long term. Would appreciate any insights plus your opinion. Thanks
Q: In August, 2018 when HDI was trading at over $17, you were not too excited about it. Since the stock has declined about 30%, is it buyable now even though construction business might be facing some headwinds?
Q: Peter could you please give me your opinion on this small company that has come up with a test to diagnosis early stage dementia. Sounds very interesting. Is it to early to put some money to work?
Thank you!
FTG has had 2 good quarterly releases in a row now. Your last reply to a question re FTG (Oct 9) was just before they released Q3 numbers (Oct 10) (normally a quiet quarter).
Is there anything in their Q3 results to get excited about?
It looks like their transition activities for their last acquisition(s) is finally starting to contribute nicely.
Given the caveat that it is small cap, should one continue to watch this company (in this volatile market) or could one step in for a 1/3 position over the next 30-60 days (considering tax loss seasonality) given the lows of the stock price (down 38% YTD)?
There didn't seem to be much market reaction to the Q3 numbers but that could have been due to the market volatility ....or it simply went unnoticed.
