Q: Hi folks, thoughts on Q2 results for Magnet Forensic..after poor Q1 & reduced guidance...stock tanked down to $15...rebounded bit to $21sh...company seems to be doing better going forward....your opinion and would be Buy/Sell/Hold....merci beaucoup, jb Piedmot QC
Q: what are the takeaways from the earnings release ? The growth seems impressive and they say "we have maintained profitability"... do you agree and how impressive is this?
Do these numbers nudge you closer to calling it a Buy?
Q: Looks like earnings did "okay" considering economy. Appears market is pleased with results. Your view and would you be buying, holding or selling and guess at both short and longer term outlook.
Q: The Gray family owns well over 50% of the issued shares in Petrus Resources. Is this a cause for concern? Or does it also provide support if there is a downturn in the oil and gas market? What are your present thoughts on the company?
Q: The US is passing a bill to pour money into EV .I am looking for small Canadian resource companies like cnc and lac that could benefit .Is there any other small cap Canadian that could be a home run?
Q: Is there any hope for this Cie ! since the share price is on a constant downtrend, should it be sold, kept,or even bought for a longer terme ? Thanks for your excellent site and work
Q: Hello Peter and team,
K-Bro Linen is down to what looks to be a bit of a long-term (excluding 2020) base of around $30. The dividend is approaching 4 percent. For a goal of long-term capital preservation and income, do you see it currently having the financial strength to provide this kind of stability? One concern is that the P/E shows as 50. Why so high? Is that misleading in some way, given the investment goal noted above? Thank you.
Q: Sangoma is an interesting case. Undertook a huge acquisition, with revenues massively increasing. Operating costs increased massively however, resulting in larger net earnings losses compared to before the acquisition. My questions:
1) was the acquisition wise in retrospect?
2) how easy is it to get out of this pickle of larger losses?
3) is this an example of management getting compensation for the large acquisition, but not an apparent benefit to shareholders?
4) is Sangoma a good five year hold here, or what would you look for in its earnings to make it a good investment?
Thx
Q: There has not been a question regarding this company since early 2021. At that time it was trading around $5 and it was suggested the results would be binary. Now it is $15, could you provide an update on this company regarding its progress and growth in revenue/profitability. Thank you. John
Q: With the share price depressed, I would imagine management would not want to issue equity for acquisitions as it would be too dilutive. In light of this, does Converge have enough cash flow to hit the 5 billion run rate in revenue for 2025? Or are acquisitions going to be largely debt financed? If debt financed, do they earn enough on these to overcome high interest rates and cost of capital? Thanks.
Q: both companies keep hitting 52 week highs on large volume-so for me the old adage tends to apply-stocks that hit 52 week highs tend to go higher still, stocks that hit 52 week lows tend to go lower still.
i know both are speculative-what is your opinion, would you be a buyer.dave
Q: Your opinion on salt and it’s seemingly come from out of nowhere rise in value. Does it have staying power? As always, Thanks for your great service.
Q: The company issued nice 2nd q numbers. It has made 26 cents US for the first 6 months this year. Unless this is a case of peak earnings, this company seems awfully cheap.
