Q: I've held both companies from time-to-time and am interested in STEP at current prices. SHLE seems a bit more volatile (good and bad).
How would you rate them?
I'm assuming that as long as the producers are maintaining or increasing production, these companies have potential.

Q: I currently hold SPDR S&P 600 S/C VAL ETF (SLYV). It is currently 2.78% of my portfolio. What is the prospect of SLYV in comparison to IJR, IJT and IWM in 2024. Would you recommend to switch to any other small cap ETF from SLYV?
Q: Your previous answer was to sell this stock. I understand why and agree, but today I came across something that makes me think otherwise. Tal Hayek, ceo, just dropped one million of his own money on an insider public market buy. I see this alot with no fruition but this buy represent about one percent of the outstanding shares. Is this something that would make you change your mind to a hold.
Q: What are your thoughts on Quis as a micro cap growth opportunity. Desjardins Securities mentioned Quis as a higher risk pick.

Q: Good Day To All:
Further to my recent question on Reitmans, I am having difficulty with your comment of the cash on the Balance Sheet. You state that Cash offsets debt. My information( which may be incorrect, and is my reason for following up with you ) is that they have approximately $ 100 m of cash. The inventory more than covers the accounts payable making an acceptable current ratio. The lease liability in accordance with GAAP will be covered by future operations. The only risk I see is that the same board which let them go into bankruptcy may decide to take them private at a low share price. Your comments please. Thanks for your previous helpful comments. Also you state that they pen out quite well using ROE. It would look even better using ROIC considering the cash on hand. There are also tax losses to be carried forward.
Thanks, ben.

Q: Hi. I have been nibbling away at both IWO and IJR and would like to bring each up to a full position (5%) in my portfolio. Given their run during the past month, do you still see them as under-valued and buyable?
thanks,

Q: I still have my small position in Lucara Diamonds and it still a diaster. CEO was replaced a couple of months ago and the former CEO came back. Under the former CEO Lucara made an agreement with an Antwerp gem polisher (HB)where they would send there large special diamons, which the Karowe mine in Botswara often find, to HB for polsihing and cutting. Lucara would then get cash flow from the finished products, (potentially higher margin and more steady cash flow). Well the new CEO wants to end that agreement. The open pit mine is still profitable but the development of the under ground mine has hit snags (namely water filtration in the raised shafts) and the finish date has been pushed back another year. What 5i could help me with is a better understanding of the outlook for diamond prices. Every where I look for on outlook on diamond pricing requires a subscription and my position is simply too small to warrant paying a subscription. In the end, should I just dump this dud or hang on a while longer (It is in a TFSA so no tax benefit.)?
Q: I believe that MEQ announced earnings in the recent past. Can I please have your take on the earnings results and your overall thoughts on how this company will do in the next 3 to 5 years. Thank You.
