Q: I'd like your opinion on the Canadian residential housing market, with respect to REITs. I invest in some REITs and I heard that the share prices of REITs have fallen far more than the underlying value of the houses or apartments that they own. But, there aren't very many sales going on right now in the real estate market, and this has me wondering if we're going to see a lot of properties hit the market (when things get back to "normal") because owners may now be strapped for cash.

Q: Which industrial REITs (Canadian or US) are best positioned to ride the Amazon tail winds? Would WIR.UN be one of them? Which REIT would have the most exposure?

Q: I own REI.UN and SRU.UN

Today I noted, from my broker's notes, that although FCR.UN was able to collect 70% of the gross rents for the month of April, REI.Un and SRU.UN collected much less at 54% and 64% respectively.
Is it advisable to sell REI.UN and SRU.UN and buy FCR.UN ? Will this reduce risks related to Covis 19?

Q: Hello
SRU.UN is involved in shopping centers, office buildings, high rise and low rise condominiums, rental residences, seniors' housing and self storage facilities.
Do you know what percentage of this REIT's income is derived from retail tenants, condominium/rental residences and storage facilities?
The dividend was not cut during the 2008/09 financial crisis. Do you think their dividend is vulnerable this time?
Will you average down at today's price or just hold?

Q: I'd like to put a portfolio of Canadian REITS 12 to 15. Is it possible to run a screen that shows balance sheets and FFO's prior to the Covid19 market meltdown? Tax treatment for REITS are the treated like dividend stocks? Is it better to hold this portfolio in RRIF or a taxable account? Are their any REITS with moat like barriers to entry. Please deducted as many questions as necessary. This can be a private or public question. Also funds not needed anytime before 5 years. Thank you David
