Q: Hi,

Any comments on INTER RENT REAL ESTATE (IIP.UN:TSX)? The fundamentals of the REIT show that the business is sound. Does the current price present a good entry point for long term holding (at least 2 years or longer)?

Q: REF.UN I have held this stock in my rrsp for several years now, so long that I forget why I thought it was such a good buy at the time. The stock has paid me handsomely and I am thinking of adding to my position but it already represents 8% of my rrsp portfolio. What is your opinion? I am most concerned about long term dividend safety as I am retired and need my rrsp to generate income for me. In light of the fact that its 8% of my portfolio maybe diversification would be a better idea? Thanks for your input.

Q: I would like to know what you think of American Hotel Reit (hot.un). Similar size and dividend to Healthlease which you follow. Caters to economy hotels associated with railroad workers. Rail seems to be booming in this US expansion. The payout ratio is less than healthlease. Thx.

Do you have a view on some of the new US based, Canadian listed reit IPOs that have come to market lately? Agellan Commercial, Milestone Apt, WPT Industrial, Melcor etc. Are the Yanks taking advantage of us or is there a opportunity here?

Q: LW: Could you comment on their aquisition? On the surface,it seems a major coup, grabbing the beds and the CEO, and they have said it is to be 14% accretive on a per share basis, which in an ideal world might mean a higher intrinsic value. Besides any general thoughts, I am particularly wondering if anything in the debt structuring is a potential problem? Thanks!

Q: BTB REIT BTB.un posted 2012 results yesterday and they showed improvement. It is small at 110 mil. MC but it yields 8.65% which was 100% deferred income in 2011. What do you think about BTB and more specifically about the improvement? I do not own it but have other REITs. Thanks for your great site and frequent posts.

They suggest an 8% return , paid monthly from Rentals.
Do you feel they have the staying power , and can live up to their claims ?
