Q: Peter; I own both and so watch them closely. It seems that they are basically trading in lock step re volume and price appreciation. Are there any interlocking directors and/or management connections that you know of. Would a combined entity be a possibility? Thanks. Rod

Q: Hi there,

My questions is about xlre and SRET and the degree of risk associated with these 2 stocks. I currently have xlre and was thinking taking 20% of my position and investing in SRET - 1. for the higher dividend and 2. for the international exposure. Both would be held in a 401K and i only pay 2.95 a trade so taxes and trading fees aren't really a consideration.

Thanks

Q: Hi Peter and Staff
My question is about industrial REITS- I have been slow to replace Pure Industrial - most of your recommendations have been Dir.un.
I bought that last week after you had given a slight preference to Summitt over it - yesterday you were asked to recommend one and you picked WPT - what’s up?

Thanks for all you do
Dennis

Q: What is a better investment in the long term - real estate (as a hard asset) or the S&P 500?

Q: Hi guys
This recent option exercise at Mainstreet does not seem to be in the interests of shareholders other than Bob Dhillon.
http://reitreport.ca/mainstreet-announces-exercise-of-stock-options/

Your thoughts? Is it anything less than standard? I would see less issues if other directors had also been involved but it would appear to involve just the principle owner of stock.

I have held Mainstreet for quite a while. Other than a sale of the company, is there anything else that could move the stock price closer to book value?

I also own Moreguard and am considering selling MEQ for Moreguard - your thoughts.

Thanks guys
