Q: hi 5i Research team,
can you explain why Altus shares are trading around 48$ after its recent substantial issuer bid has only taken up and paid for 2,855,696 of its common shares at a price of C$57.00 per Share (total paid < 163 M). Under its substantial issuer bid, it was allowed to repurchase for cancellation a number of its Shares for an aggregate purchase price not to exceed C$350 millions at a price from 51$ to 57$. I thought that following its successful SIB, AIF shares would trade around a floor « created » by its SIB price. Also, can you explain why AIF has been willing to pay 57$ a few weeks ago, and now, it is not willing to buy back shares at a lower price with the unused cash (350 - 163 = 187 millions) still siting in its bank account? What am I missing? Should management reconsider selling the whole company? Thank you for your collaboration, Eric

Q: Questions on CAR.UN:

- Is the negative opinion regarding the recent immigration policy overblown?

- How does present valuation compare to it's historical past per the appropriate metrics?

- Are there major risks if / when there is a severe economic downturn?

- Can you comment on its balance sheet?

- Do you see its plan for modernizing its portfolio as impactful to the business?

- Are you optimistic about its ability to keep increasing distributions going forward?

Q: Could I have your opinion on NWH?
1) What do you think of the concept (healthcare facilities)
2) why was there a big drop a couple years ago, and has this been resolved or still an issue
3) what is the payout percentage and debt level
4) how are distributions taxed (I’m looking for ROC)
5) buy up to 2% or just stay away

Thank-you

Q: Non-urgent question. Please respond at your convenience.
Can you please review and comment on their recent financials/performance?

Share price has dropped from their recent highs and 7% dividend seems attractive.
Can you also give your opinion on dividend sustainability?

Q: Dear 5i
Is investing in insurance companies like SLF a good idea in a declining interest rate enviroment , or are they like banks and make up the difference in lost revenue in other areas of their businesses ?
Also would now be a good time to buy into REITS , DIR specifically as it has not done very well over the past year and therefor more likely to rise more also with declining rates ?
Thanks
Bill C

Q: Was looking through your Tax Loss Selling Report and Dream Unlimited caught my attention. Not much love for or attention paid to this stock to the point that there were no quetions re. its most recent earnings on Nov. 11 . Could I have your belated assessment of these earnings before I decide whether to take a flyer or talk myself down .
Thank-you.
