Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Hi, could you please rate these companies for a riff account. My goal would be dividend, growth and stability in down market. I have money for one company. (Would buying U.S. be beneficial?)
Fell free to add your favourite stock for my goals.
Thanks

Q: Reviewing all your input on this stock, was wondering if you could share your take on the TD summary of analyst ratings (5) where three (3) are suggesting it is a "sell" while two (2) rank it as a "hold", average target price being $33.04 while today it is trading at $35.83!
Am I missing something here. Appreciate all you excellent support.
Ted.

Q: I'm looking for suggestions for stocks or ETFs that would benefit from increased investment in the north (either infrastructure-, defense- or resource-related). Do you have any suggestions of opportunities that warrant further investigation for a 'northern/artic play'? I can't help but feel that all the talk south of the border about Greenland, Canadian resources, etc. that someone will be spending substantially more in the north over the next 4 years...

Q: I think we might get an opportunity to buy o&g names at a discount soon as they are already pulling back out of fear of Trump tariffs, even though oil prices have been stronger. If you could only invest in 1 or 2 oil or gas names on the pullback, with the qualifier that its not a forever hold and I'm looking for something with decent torque to the upside when political worries go away, what names would you pick? As an example I'd probably avoid CNQ since it doesn't drop as much when oil is negative, but also doesn't go up as much when oil is positive. Thx

Q: So I’m sitting here day dreaming about SOBO. I understand Keystone XL is now their “ asset “ and wondering about possible scenarios under Trump. If he again OK’s it , would the stock move and in what direction, will it get built, is it still needed , would it be doable for this size company , etc ? Needing to add to my list of high dividend stocks, SOBO interests me and wonder what this sizeable project would have on the stock. Thanks.Derek

Q: I read your last update (June), and recent questions about this stock, and reviewed the financials. I cannot see any specific reasons for the steady decline. I don't see the reorganization having any material effect, and because of the international diversity I cannot see any Trump stupidity as having major influence. In fact, I would have thought the reduced interest rates would be a positive effect. Obviously, I am missing something that indicates a sell for some, and I am hoping you could shed some light on what that might be. As well, I would appreciate your comments as to future expectations.
Thanks!
Paul

Q: The company recently sold a few large assets, a recent deal of their non regulated renewable assets and their 42.2% stake in Atlantica. I can’t see $ figures anywhere but with market cap of $2.55 B USD, I’d hope they got a raised a substantial amount.

How does this affect your view on AQN going forward? What is their current debt? I’m holding at a slight loss in a non registered account and ok holding and collecting yield if there is upside.

Q: Hello 5i, Could you comment on the Transmountain Pipeline as to the price that they are getting on there oil shipped from Burnaby BC. I see the oil is sent to Asia and the USA. Is the price the same for both buyers and how does it compare to Brent oil as the idea of the pipeline was to get world price for Alberta oil. Also how do these oil prices compare to oil shipped to the USA from Alberta to the USA by pipeline and Rail cars.

Q: Hi, I live in BC where the above companies were just awarded 3 wind projects each totaling about 550MW with 30 year electricity purchase agreements from BC Hydro. (First Nations will have at least 51% ownership of the projects.) Both companies pay a good dividend, but seem to have seen better days. I am just wondering whether you answer questions about companies this small and if so what do you think of their current state of affairs and prospects for the future?

Q: I currently own both the above and both are winners for me at this point. The PE's are
about the same but CNQ dividend is higher and is a much bigger company. What do you think about selling TVE and buying more CNQ? Is the % growth potential of TVE greater than that of CNQ? thanks and happy new year to you and the whole 5i crew. I have done quite well by reading all your answers every morning, Much appreciated.
