Q: Hi Peter and 5i: AvenEx (AVF) had a miserable Q2 with AECO gas well under $2. Presumably Q3 will be shown to have been better, with the AECO gas price having averaged at least 10% or so above the $2.00 line. One might expect early Q4 guidance to be more positive, with AECO gas averaging over $3.00 so far in October, WTI hanging in above $90, and the Elbow River facility apparently participating profitably in the rise of train-shipped oil. The stock has had a nice move up from the $3 level within the last week but right in the middle of that they announced they are conducting a strategic review of their oil and gas assets. What would you do at this point if you held the stock? Would you view the asset review as a positive development or might you be concerned that it has been occasioned by negative circumstances that have yet to be announced? Thanks for any thoughts!

Q: Hi Peter, I am a long time holder of PMG-Petrominerales. I would like to know your opinion on it's future prospects and if patience will see some recovery in it's value. Thanks.
Q: Hi Peter,
I am concerned with my big position in SCS which has been coming down without any reason. I have asked a question about it before and you said that at two times annual cash flow the debt is not a problem. The company is making money and has half year cashfow of 22 cents. It has excellent locations with no country risk. I firmly believe it is excellent value at this point. However, you showed some concern on one of your other comments. Apart from the fact that it is small, what other risks do you see? Why would it go down even further from this point?
Thanks

Q: Hi, Could you please give your opinion on DCK-Donnycreek Energy. It has had a nice run since about May. Is this sustainable? thx
Q: Can you comment on Legacy Oil and Gas (leg-T)
Q: Hi Peter,
What do you think of Birchcliff Energy (BIR)? Nat gas seems to be moving and always nice to follow the smart money with Seymour Schulich owing 40,000,000 shares.
Thanks.

Q: On June 4 2012 you made a favourable comment in response to a question concerning your opinion on VET. It closed at 42.81 on that day. How do you feel about VET today?
Q: Further to your recent October 10 comments on DTX and WCP, I came across a brand new publication 'Oil and Gas Corporate Bulletin', which is called an 'advertorial'. It is a lenghty and extremely laudatory presentation of NVS, which looks pretty convincing. Is this serious and should this stock be preferable to WCP as a short term takeover target ?
Q: As takeover targets, how would you compare DTX and WCP ? Is one much safer than the other ?
Q: Given todays news release do you feel there is now a little less risk in Porto Energy (PEC)?
Q: Hello,
What is your oppinion of Cenovus - CVE? Thank you for your answer & the great work.

Q: can you give me your view on IE Ivanhoe energy. Thanks
Q: Hi Peter. PWT Penn West
The dividend is attractive and your review back in June indicated market concern on the company maintaining this. They have since come out with a new quarter results and CEO appears to be committed to the distribution. Would appreciate your updated thoughts.

Q: Which of the your favourite (mid-sized or bigger) Canadian oil companies are the best takeover targets in the next two years?
Q: Please let me know what your view is on Sea Dragon Energy (SDX). Thank you.
Q: Hi Peter,
What do you think of Corridor Resources (CDH)? I know its predominantly a nat gas play in Eastern Canada and hence the share price has been hammered. With the recent move in nat gas prices might look like a good entry point? I also see Sprott is a large shareholder. Thanks.
