Q: When investing anew in the oil patch, should one go for BTE rather than COS ? BTE seems to be struggling somewhat with the differentials, while COS gets a good price for its SCO, but struggles with improving production up to design capacity. Both have good reserves, but COS is there for the next 50 years. Obvious better anternatives to these two names ?
Q: Peter; TOU seems to be out of step with the rest of the gas players, which I like mind you. But do you think it is ahead of itself and one should trim some at these levels? Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter. I've been under water with Bankers Petroleum (BNK) for some time. Should I continue to hold and wait for a recovery or cut my losses and re-deploy the cash? Thanks, Jim
Q: Hi Peter and Team, regarding Pinecrest's (PRY) news release this evening, would it be possible to provide your thoughts on the news before markets open tomorrow morning? Any thoughts on how the stock will react and do you see further downside on the stock?. Thanks!
Q: Hi Peter, can I get your view on "ARN". My cost is $6.00 would you average down to lower the cost with the hope of a takeover? It's has a less than 1% weight in my portfolio. Thanks, Nick

Q: SU just reported a loss, the first in 3 and a half years. Apparently, this would result from the differentials for Canadian crude oil. Would this be indicative that the oil sands sector should be avoided somewhat until the pipeline issues are resolved?
Q: Hi, What is your opinion on SU going forward? I don't own it but because of today slide should i be dipping into?? Lot of analyst still like it and recommend buy.
Q: Further to the recent question regarding SU and VET (going from the former to the latter), should the same question be put to you with respect to CNQ and COS versus VET, would you still recommend transferring to VET ? For the same reasons ? Comparatively of course, CNQ and COS are also cheaper, and COS provides a good dividend. Both CNQ and COS face the 'oil sands' issues, but COS gets a much better price for its synthetic oil.
Q: wondered if you have any research and opinions on Raging river RRX-tsx-v thank you very much and I really appreciate your site and expertise.
Q: hello 5i:
I'm debating selling my SU and purchasing VET. Can I have your opinion on this strategy.
thanks again

Q: Is investing in stocks such as NTI and ALDW(there is also CVRR and CLMT) which are MLP (Master limited partnership, with more than juicy income returns, akin to speculation ? Seemingly, according to some, so long as Canadian crude face the current differentials to WTI (to the great benefit of these companies and their refineries), the juicy returns will be there. Also, these MLP are complicated to deal with taxwise. Is this true, and is it all speculation ?
Q: I would like your opinion of Angle Energy (NGL). They have a lot of good undeveloped land and will the recent sale of some gas production allow them to continue their successful drilling program of light oil properties.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I am interested in Petro One Resources (POP). Do you like their management team. Where do you see the stock price in the next 12 months.
Q: I am over diversified in my portfolio with over 40 stocks. Therefore I am trying to consolidate correlated holdings in the same space down to one name. I have three small cap E&P dogs in the form of Long Run Exploration (LRE), Torc Oil and Gas (TOG) and Gran Tierra Energy (GTE). All these names combined have declned to the extent that they now comprise no more than 2% of my portfolio.
As someone on the brink of retirement I am looking for some income while the junior oil and gas space treads water. Could you suggest one name I could consolidate into, out of these three? Or a completely different name in the same space with a bit of income.

Q: Just renewed for another year...your service is helpful and very cost effective for the average retail investor. I believe that oil prices are going to rise over the next year and would like your opinion on a couple of suggestions for oil stocks? Perhaps a growth and a dividend paying option. Thanks.
Q: Hello 5i, Could you give me your view on Twin Butte TBE as to the recent drop in share price and on the company itself and the stability of the dividend payout.
