Q: Hi Peter and Team, regarding Pinecrest, PRY, any thoughts on their results and update? At what share price do you see true value considering their tax pools, as you previously discussed. At least they are smart enough to want to pay down debt first, as much as possible. Any insight and help on this one would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Q: Hi Peter et all; I have held ATH (Athabasca) for over 2 years and have watched my other stocks perform while ATH goes sideways. Do you have any suggestions (3) where I might get a reasonable return?
John
Q: Hi Peter and team
My question is on Bankers Petroleum BNK. My half position is now almost a full position due to the run up in price. I'm tempted to sell or at least take partial profits but my broker (TDW)has a 12 mo. target of $8.50. Or instead, should I be adding to it at this level as it seems to be finally gaining some traction with investors. What is your analysis of this co. over the next 2-3 years?
Thanks, Gerry
Q: ECA Would ECA be a good way to benefit from the PrairieSky spin-off as ECA will still own 60%? As I was writing this Q this point was raised on BNN. Your opinion please. Thank you.
Q: Hi Peter, can you please provide an update and your views on Strad Energy Services (SYD) ? Earlier this month, they reported their quarterly results and increased their dividend.
Thank you and keep up the great work !! I highly recommend your service to any one who will listen !!
Q: Hello fine team. Which of these 2 companies do you prefer for growth - RRX and HWO? I know HWO offers a dividend but I am looking to strong growth for this buy. I am very well balanced with 3 Portfolios and 34 stocks (mostly your picks for your Income and your Growth PFs). As always thank you for all that you do!
Q: LRE
You said " Because it just started a dividend, the payout ratio is a bit of a moving target, but in the first quarter it was just 18%. Based on forecasts by the company, the 2014 ratio will be less than 20%. It is increasing its dividend with the July payment as well (5%) after the acquisition closes."
If the above is correct and their pay out ratio is 20" with a 7% dividend is it not a screaming buy considering all the other positives. I bought 0.5 position and am wondering if I should sell some Surge and buy More ?
Thanks again and again
Yossi
Q: Which company do you think has better capital appreciation going forward between surge energy(sgy), and sylogist(syz), and are you concerned at all with sylogist's thin trading, thanks?
Q: I am looking at Long Run (LRE) as as high-yield play. Could you comment on its recent dividend policy, sustainability and payout ratio going forward. Also, I note that some of the senior management comes from Penn West. Are these the same people that mismanaged Penn West for so long? Note that my objective with this investment would be income over growth.
Q: The market seems to like Lonestar's (LSI) bought deal announcement coming on the heels of the most recent quarterly results. I had a small position, added during recent weakness at $2.65 and am inclined to hold. What are your views on the deal and future prospects?
Q: hi 5i,
my question is regarding Petromanas Energy Inc (PMI-V). i know this stock is very speculative but
just recently the dynamics of the company has changed.can you look at it again and give an opinion ? i took a position a few weeks ago and i'm thinking of adding . what do you like/ dislike about the situation. is management competent ? i know these wells are extremely expensive but Haywood is saying that at current stock prices the downside is limited. thanx norm
