Q: Do you see any major reason for the fall in Pulse Seismic (PSD) and would now be a good entry?

Q: PRE has been dropping, possibly on fears of the 2016 loss of its primary exploration block. Yet it has made some good moves, including acquiring Petrominerales for its diluents and infrastructure. Its 2014 guidance claims that it will "fully replace the Company's current net production from the Rubiales Field by 2016." Is this a buying opportunity, or is it better to wait until the uncertainty works out?

Q: Hi,
I own FRU since 2009 (30%pa) but 9%pa since 2011; I like the business model (nothing earth shattering but steady). I'm thinking of buying Clearwater Royalty when EnCana will spin it off. What do you think of it and how do I proceed to make the purchase.
Thanks
Tony

Q: FrontFour announced the removal of it special meeting requisition, presumably because they figured they would lose. With this in mind would you think the shares are unlikely to move up since it's going to be same all same all? Interested in your thoughts. Thank You

Q: Hi again,

I just asked for the 8 to 10 lowest cost Canadian oil and gas companies. Obviously, I intended to ask which 8 to 10 you would recommend! Thanks.

Q: For resource exposure, I am concentrated only in oil & gas (likely because I live in Calgary). I have full positions in Cenovus, Suncor, and am overweight in Crescent Point. Since last fall, I have also purchased half positions in VET, WCP, TOU, Surge, and Bellatrix (based on 5i responses). I am looking to unload my Suncor, Cenovus, and Crescent Point positions in favour of adding full positions to the others. Does that sound like a reasonable plan to you and why are the analysts so bullish on CPG when I know that you are not enamoured with it?

Q: After years of consolidation, do you think Canadian Oil Sands is due for a revaluation by the investment community? Looking at their capex programme, their big expenditures are out of the way in 2015. With the past CEO stating that their objective is to pay out free cash flow to shareholders, I think COS could increase the current dividend from $1.40 to $2+ if synthetic oil prices stay $90+ and production volumes stabilize.

Looking forward to your views. Thank-you for efforts.

Q: http://www.mining.com/web/five-ways-to-play-the-end-of-the-natural-gas-renaissance-bill-powers/

Here's an interesting report on natural gas supply and demand with some hot tips. Any thoughts. Seems like a well thought out analysis. I don't have the background to analyze the information but the person who sent me the article does and seems to think it's valid.

Q: Your comments re RMP have changed slightly from September to January 21st. What have you learned since September? I'm looking for an entry in O & G (mostly O) to take advantage of the season. Is RMP a worthwhile consideration or are there others? RMP's chart has broken above an intermediate downtrend line today.

Q: Hi 5I Team In trying to make a decision on Essential Energy (ESN) I was trawling 5I for some insight. On Nov 8, in a response to Hal, it was noted that ESN was “... a very cheap stock and revenue still increased despite sector weakness.” On Nov 26, in response to Ken, it was noted that “... shares are not exactly cheap but we like the company.” I’m confused as to how to read this -- is it still a hold? ... and is the company cheap, fairly valued or expensive? Thanks!

Q: Hi 5i,

Given the recent run in ALX, would you recommend taking profits at current levels or holding on for the long term?

What would you do if you were sitting on a 30% gain in just a few days with respect to upcoming rights offering?

Would you tend to hold for those shares, or sell prior to record date? How would you calculate the drop in value from the rights offering post the record date? I see a drop of at least the percentage of dilution on the non PP stock out there in the market(around 8-9%?).

Thoughts?
