Q: More of a comment than a question Sept is now behind us and in review of my portfolio I took a bit of a spanking on my energy stocks about 13% but on balance only down about 3% in total which if this was a correction I did ok .My frustration when I talk to the people at wcp sgy bte their hedging is excellent were as wcp is hedged out for the balance of the year 95%@$99 a barrel what could put a company this well managed under so much downward pressure ?
Many Thanks Stan

Q: Hi, could you kindly share your thoughts on PTA. It's experienced a significant tumble lately.
Q: Could I have your analysis and comparison of Long Run Exploration (LRE) and Surge Energy Inc (SGY). Production, sales, management, properties, future prospects, m&a and who is the better of the two at this point in time for dividend, value and growth?
Thanks for your help!
Thanks for your help!
Q: With the pull back in the oil & gas sector, do you have a couple of junior names that seem like compelling values at current levels, or would you stay with bigger players until we get through October (seasonal weakness and a month when strange/unhappy events can happen in the market)? Thanks, Dave
Q: What are your thoughts on Encana for a long time hold after the Athlone takeover which was announced today?
Q: So is the sell off overdone? I vowed never again to let a position drop more than 25 per cent before I bailed and I am getting close to that mark. Move on to a better opportunity while there is still some capital left?
Q: i have 2 sets of four 1)dtx,cr,ppy,rmp.2)gxe,bnk,bxe,bnp. looking for best growth and value (arn't we all lol)your pick of the litter in each catagory is a great help. if you have a better puppy feel free! also a service company in the oil and gas sector,i already have some hwo. maybe im to early to the party? tkx pat
Q: Regarding Cash Flow and oil and gas stocks....as a general rule of thumb and assuming reasonable growth prospects, at what multiple to cash flow is a company fairly valued? Obviously other factors play a part but for example TOU is trading at 13 time C/F and SGY at 7 times C/F.
Perhaps TOU has greater growth prospects but relatively speaking SGY seems quite a bit less expensive by this metric.
I am just trying to get a handle on using cash flows as a reference to determine value....

Q: Again Horizon North being kicked to the curb. I was going to switch out for BDI but now am considering averaging down. Your thoughts are welcome.
Q: Hi- given the recent pullback in the energy sector, can you give me your top three picks for growth& income. thanks
Q: Hi 5i team, I am hoping to sell one or two energy positions (hopefully not the one that you are planning to include in the model portfolio) in order to purchase SLF and EH for diversification purposes. Could you please suggest the one or two current positions that you would recommend selling from the following:
Delphi, Surge, Whitecap, Badger, HIgh Arctic, Painted Pony, Raging River, Tourmaline
Much appreciated as always!

Q: Surge Energy and Spartan Energy have taken a hit along with most in the sector. I am thinking of "diving in" but the flood of negative news on the future price of oil has left me a little gun-shy. Would you buy these companies now?
Thanks.
Steven
Thanks.

Q: SES is one analysts top pick on BNN yesterday. What is your opinion on it.
Q: Instead of loading up on one company I have diversified across the board by owning entrec, enterprise E and petrowest PRW. Is this a good strategy? I figure bet on all three same weighing and hope one is a home run. And are all three not going to move until LNG plants are up and running? Thanks.
Q: your comments re this co. with a 2 year projection.
Q: Canacol reported its Q4 and FY2014 results on Sep. 23rd. In my opinion the numbers looked good but the stock did not get any lift to it price. Is this reaction more sector and market related or more company specific? What is your take on their results? Thanks, Gerry
Q: Constant good news over the past two months. Price sliding. What is the perceived problem ?
Q: It's said that a buy time could be on a 10% index correction. Would that apply to individual stocks as well as the index. If so, that may make selected energy stocks a buy now.
