Q: Hi just a quick question on ELW. I foolishly bought in at about 95 cents and it has kept falling since. Should cut my losses and sell or hold on long term?

Thanks

Q: Hi Team,
What are your thoughts on these two? With the resource sector sell-off I am down around 30% plus on both. After tax loss selling which they are now both subject to in my portfolio and I am sure many others). Would you own these (buy them back) after the 30 day period or just avoid them altogether?
Thank you

Q: Lts closed today at 0.28 to book value and 0.82 to cash flow.Is there something fatally wrong with lts (other than management)? Is shortselling causing the share price to be so low?Although a dividend cut is likely,at today's price close even a 50% cut would still mean a dividend of about 8.5%.

Q: Hi Peter,
I bought LRE at 5.73$ and it has fallen (crashed!) to 3.02$. Should I just sell and buy something else in the same sector (SGY,WCP) or look into a totally different sector.
Thank you for your help.

Q: Hello Peter and Staff,
I own a diversified portfolio inspired by your own and I have done OK thank you. My question is regarding my energy portion.
CWC,KEL,PEY,PD,RRX,WCP represent now about 7% of my portfolio after the recent pull back.
Should I hold, average down or sell for better opportunities ?
Thank you for your excellent service.
Regards, Raouf

Q: Hello Peter & Co.
My RRIF portfolio contains most of your equity holdings and many of Jason Donville's top 10; I thank you for your contribution.
My problem is that energy producers make up 10% of my portfolio; I should reduce it to 5%.
I hold BTE, CPG, TOU, VET and WCP; how would you rank them?
Thanks again
Tony

Q: Hi 5i team, On Oct 31 2014 re: LRE, you answered to Terrance:"BOTH names have some debt and lower balance sheet liquidity and in this environment, financing could become tougher to find so we would not classify the dividends as safe but would not expect a dividend cut in the near term."
Which other company are you referring to apart from LRE? Also, LRE is reporting earnings Nov 5...do you expect more downside on the stock? If so, would it be better to sell before earnings?
Thank you!

Q: In your Oct 2, 2014 report, you gave a C+ rating to Horizon North Logistics. At that time the stock was trading in the $5.30 range. Now that the stock has dropped to $3 after the Q3 earning release, would your opinion change as the yield is not exceeding 10%. Thank you,

Are they at at good entry point now?
Also, what stocks would you recommend in the infrastructure sector?

Q: Morning folks: HWO is listed in Toronto but does the bulk of it's business in New Guinea where the energy industry is still
going strong. The numbers look good and it has a 4.5 percent yield. Appreciate your comments on this company.

Q: Hi Peter and team,

What do you think of Canadian Energy Services and Techonology? Is it worth investing in this company at this time? I am a long term investor looking mainly for growth, but I am not against companies that also pay as nice dividend.

Thanks in advance for your insights.

Michel

Q: I have this stock in my TFSA, can't imagine why. Down over 40%. Should I just throw in the towel, and hopefully purchase another company having the potential to recoup some of this loss. Suggestions? Doesn't have to be this sector, don't care. Or is there some remote chance of recovery for TGL within a year or so.
Thanks

Q: Peter & Team, what do make of DEE? Natural gas has made a nice bounce off its recent $3.60 low, yet DEE continues to drop. In fact, natural gas is only off 3% from its beginning of Sept level, yet DEE is off an incredible 52% in two months! True the Wapiti sale (about 10% of production) fell through, but drill results are good as is growth. Stunningly, cash flow per share is forecast at $.43 and $.47 per share in each of '14 and '15. This is a cash flow yield of +20% in each of the next two years (impossible to find outside energy sector and quite a bit higher than the recently beaten down energy stocks). Perhaps natural gas prices are running well below the levels predicted by the company in determining a $3.41 discounted per share value. If this is a material change in facts, would you sell here, wait until winter or buy more. Appreciate your thoughts.
