Q: Hi 5i,

Thank you for you answer today on Royal Dutch Shell RDS.B. I have a follow up question please.

I own Chevron (CVX) (which you also mentioned in your earlier answer), Husky (HSE), Peyto (PEY), and while not directly comparable, Methanex (MX). I am contemplating one more energy stock which is why I asked about RDS.B.

If you could buy only one more energy stock for some growth but also a high sustainable and hopefully growing dividend, which would it be?

My research indicates RDS.B looks attractive, but so does Whitecap Resources (WCP) and possibly Vermillion (VET). The latter two are obviously Canadian which means I can buy them in $CDN of course, which may be doubly beneficial when oil prices recover and move the Canadian dollar.

Thank you again.

Michael

Q: Hi guys. I would like your present opinion on E. I am very deeply under water on this one (78%) They now want to restructure 4 for 1. Should I throw in the towel or just stick it out.
They also want to reprice the insider options from about 70c to 30c. This would seem liken rewarding poor performance to me.
Your comment would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Michael

Q: Hi, could you recommend one or two stocks(or funds) in the energy sector that are not linked to oil and gas?

Thanks

Q: I own the CNE debenture and got this notice alert:

Canacol Energy Ltd. Sends Maturity Notice to Debenture Holders

NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO U.S. NEWS WIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE U.S.

CALGARY, ALBERTA (May 19, 2015) – Canacol Energy Ltd. ("Canacol" or the "Corporation") (TSX:CNE; OTCQX:CNNEF; BVC:CNEC) announced today that it has sent the maturity notice required under the indenture governing the 8.00% convertible unsecured subordinated debentures of the Corporation (the "Debentures") due June 30, 2015 (the "Maturity Date"), advising registered Debenture holders that the Corporation has elected to satisfy its obligation to repay the principal amount outstanding, together with all accrued and unpaid interest thereon, by issuing and delivering to the holders that number of common shares of the Corporation ("Common Shares") equal to the number obtained by dividing such principal amount of the Debentures and the accrued and unpaid interest thereon by 95% of the VWAP of the Common Shares for the 20 consecutive trading days on the Toronto Stock Exchange ending on the fifth trading day immediately preceding the Maturity Date. There is currently Debentures outstanding in the aggregate principal amount of CDN $25,519,000, together with accrued and unpaid interest thereon in the amount of CDN $1,020,760.

My options (as I see them) are to sell on the open market at $98 approx, or take possession of CNE as outlined in their alert.

What do you suggest here and why? Do you like the common enough to reccomend I convert and hold?

Q: There continues to be lots of insider buying especially from the ceo How important does 5i consider this to be and does 5i know how many shares insiders currently own. I have had some luck with surge. I bought a half position 2.5% (before you sold it) that has now grown to 4%. Would you trim it back to a half position. I also own a 3% position in BDI and 3% in RBN.UN ( fairly oil and gas heavy closed end mutual fund) in the oil sector. I was thinking of WCP if I trim SGY.

Thanks Blake

Q: Hi Team,

I know this is out of your core focus area, but I was hoping you could tell me if you think RDS.B's dividend looks safe going forward and if this might be a good entry point for this stock for a long-term position. Many thanks for any suggestions you have.

Q: I currently own SU as well TRP and ENB. I have held ENB for many years and the capital gain on this stock is quite high. I am slowly selling some shares each years to bring the weight down but I wonder if I really need to hold SU since I do own TRP as well. Which stock would you keep SU or TRP or should I sell both SU and TRP? I am slowly trying to make my portfolio more diversified.

Thanks

Q: I know that SCL is not in your coverage list but I would appreciate your perspective and insight regardless. The quarterly release a couple of days ago did not seem that bad given that drilling is down 50% so there are delays in capital spending all over the place in North America (I know that they are not tied greatly to drilling activity but it is a good proxy for the near term sector activity). I also understand that the NDP win means head winds for anyone involved in pipelines but that was last week's news. Earnings seemed ok but the stock is down over 10% in two days so I am not sure if I am missing something. I cannot see short interest so I don't know if it is long term investors exiting or the shorts smelling an opportunity that has caused the price drop. Their business model seems solid ND with some diversification. They issue stock rarely but the last time was last year in the mid to high $50's, well above today's levels. I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks for the great service!

Q: Hello 5i Team, can you please comment on the recent 1st qtr results of LGX. Given they have not met their financial obligations and the management team's performance is questionable at best over on the Legacy side. I incurred a rather large loss on the stock and was planning to roll the dice on it. Am I better off to take what money I can get out of it and play a micro cap that has better upside potential over a 5-10 year period?

Q: I currently own WCP, SPE,TOU,ESN,PPY,TOG but each stock holding is less than 1% of total portfolio weight. Since reading Ryan blog about weight allocation I am wondering if it would be best to sell some of these stocks and use the proceed to increase the weight in only 2-3 at this time. I am thinking that it would be best to keep WCP,SPE and TOU. Your thoughts on this move?

Thanks
Dolores

Q: What do you make of the present market price being below the take over price of $6.50? Is this the market saying that it is uncertain the take over will proceed never mind receive any competing bids? What are your thoughts on the take over?
