Q: I want to buy some natural gas companies that will benefit from the construction of the Kitimat NGL plant, do you have any suggestions?

They both have bounced due to LNG (still) speculative developments. Would you wait a few months or would you buy now? BDI used to be your favourite. Which one would you choose now? Why?

Q: I'm in the process of trimming my portfolio of over 40 companies and building cash. Both Major Drilling Grp and Cathedral Energy Services are candidates for removal. How do you feel about these companies, should they be sold? Would you put the money in cash or what would you buy in their place, in the same sectors?

Q: I sold BDI at a sizable loss years ago and fully appreciate how extremely cyclical this companies earnings are, for good or bad. Waiting patiently for an opportunity to catch a high beta cyclical upswing in the companies earnings. Can you advice as to how to approach this investment thesis? Start building a position now even thought its early or wait till there is clearly an upswing in earnings while trying to avoid false starts? I cant help but think that after years of terrible government policy there is blood in the streets now.

Do you think all 4 or any of the 4 companies will see improved SP with the announcement that LNG will likely be announced next week - announcement being that it will be a GO!

Q: Regarding my earlier q on NRGY you mentioned that it was trading at a discount of around 3.5% and explained that there were some good reasons not to like the mutual fund that it would roll into.
But given that closed it closed at 5.52 and Ninepoint shows NAV as 6.03 it could - at that price - be purchased at a discount of about 8%, no? If that were the case, would it not have made sense - apart from the commodity risk - for a fund which will close in about 4 weeks and for which an investor would receive its NAV?
(I was really asking whether I was missing something in the conversion process from NRGY to NPP008)

Q: Hi Team: The price collapse in TCW seems overdone considering the overall financial improvement in this company.What would be the book value of TCW and could it buy back more aggressively it's stock considering the compeling valuation? I am considering averaging down late into tax selling season and thinking two to three years hold.

Q: NRGY is trading about 9% below NAV this morning (Based on Friday's closing NAV and this morning's moves in oil equities). Given that the fund is being closed and rolled into Ninepoint's energy mutual fund, does is it make sense to buy if you are okay with owning the mutual fund?
Also, do you have to accept the mutual fund or can you request cash when a fund is closed like this?

Q: Hi Ryan As a long term holder of VET the stock has a hard time generating a growth return.
I understand the huge discount on Can oil as part of the reason ,what I cant understand why the market gives no credit for VET,s foreign holdings not subject to the WCS discount.
My thinking is to exit and sit on cash till this political crap settles out.
