Q: With the ever increasing demand for power to fuel AI and tech, what companies would you suggest investing in going forward?

Q: Hello,
I own the following O&G producers and this is about 12.5% of the portfolio.
CNQ 2%, Tour 2%, Meg 2%, TVE 2.5%, WCP 1.5%, HWX 1%, Ath 1.5%
I want to raise cash and would probably sell about half.

My view point is from a conservative, retired senior, but looking through next 2-5 years with these. I think the best ones to keep are CNQ, Tourmaline, Tamarack Valley and Meg - maybe sell off TVE if good gains over next year or two.
Would like your opinion on what to sell/hold.
Do you agree or perhaps would you reduce all evenly? (I prefer to manage at a few less stocks.)

Would you exchange any stock or have other other recommendations?

Thank you very much

Q: Tourmaline has a contract to supply LNG.How many years are left and at what price. Will this contract have a huge impact on TOU if not renewded. I know that Nat Gas is driving their sales. With TPZ being seperate are they well positioned to continue their dividends. 5i has rated TOU a best in class stock which I own and have small investment in Cheniere.. 5i does future hold well for the stocks if recession appears in 2025 or 2026.

Q: Hi 5i team.

I'm currently overweight Suncor, have a full position in Whitecap and less roughly 2/3 position in Freehold Royalties. I'm thinking of lightening up on Suncor and putting the dollars into a USA producers. Would you please list your top three USA domiciled oil and/or gas producers, why you prefer them, whether you would trade Suncor for any of them?

Thanks
Peter

Q: I would appreciate you placing these stocks in order that you would purchase them. Also how many of these would you hold in a portfolio?
Thanks

Dave.

Q: I only use DLR / DLR.U for Norbert's Gambit, but didn't realize that they pay a distribution until you mentioned some fairly hefty yields in a recent reply.
And sure enough, the TMX website shows yields of 6.7% for DLR and 9.5% for DLR.U, but quarterly distributions of only $0.111 and $0.082 resp., resulting in an annual yield of only ~ 3% (with minor quarterly fluctuations).
Could you please explain this discrepancy?

Q: I have held these two stocks for a long time but I am frustrated with their performance. They have been flat in the past 5 years. I am thinking of selling both and repacing them with ALA. Am I wrong and can you give me your thoughts on Alta gas or do you have a better replacement idea. Thank You.

Q: Hello 5-i,
What is the concencus on natural gas prices over the next year or so.WIth the completion of the LNG pipeline to the Pacific, companies such as this one ought to benefit from more demand ,therefore a higher price for nat.gaz.Is this a good time to accumulate the stock?
many thanks,
Jean

Q: I did believe that " only USA located" energy (oil+gaz) growth stocks were an interesting investment considering certain isolationist tendencies coming in 2025, quite positive US economic performance, and other factors in the unstable world market. I did invest in these 2 Cies this week at a very low point ; after only 3 days, the losses are already 5% and 7% respectively, every single day reaching the lowest value of the year for DVN..Is it a situation of "falling knives" ,or an excessive correction, hold or sell as an impression according to the risk ? thanks for some light in this situation !

Q: I currently own Bep.un and want to buy BEPC.

1) If I sell BEP.UN for a loss can I replace it with BEPC right away or are they consider same stocks.

2) If they are same stocks and I buy BEPC do I need to average stock price for BEP.UN and BEPC.

3) Which one is more dividend Tax credit benefits.

4) If they are same stocks why BEPC has outperformed BEP.UN.

Thanks for your great service

I wish your team a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Q: I am considering increasing my half position to a full one for BEP.UN. Could you comment on this company given it's decline. I would like to know its payout ratio (based on cash flow, of course) and if you consider it a buy/sell/hold at the moment. Also, do you see any potential headwinds for it in the future?
Any insights are appreciated!
Thanks!
Paul
