Q: These two companies have been recently dropping in price. Would this be a time to buy or should we wait for these two to bottom?
Q: In my earlier question about which stock to buy between PPL and KEY, you answered PPL. Can I have the reasons why?
Thanks, Martin

Q: Please comment on Birchcliff Resources earnings.
thank you.

Q: When is TOU reporting next 3000 shares . Tks to 5i I am now making small amount of money and your advice on tou in the past helped It took a long time to get back to this position for tou . Analyst say it could go to $24 and If they are correct I will be making more money .I like the dividend and probably will trim down to 500 shares of tou and will look at putting cash in ETF's that are more conservative. Topaz I have 200 shares and will keep for now. This is in RRIF account and I will not need cash for this year or next, What is your outlook for these 2 stocks. Tks 5i team

Tourmaline Oil Corp. (TOU)

Seven Generations Energy Ltd. class A common shares (VII)
-
Birchcliff Energy Ltd. (BIR)
Q: What are your top 3 stock recommendations right now for purchase of Canadian energy companies predominately focused on natural gas exploration and production (ie. producers, not mid-stream players, and natural gas focus more so than oil). What is your rationale for each? Long term focus, dividend would be nice but not required.
Thanks - really appreciate all your good advice.

Q: I have BPY.un in my TFSA and I intend to sell it as soon as Brookfield raises its offer (hopefully). To replace it, I will choose between PPL and KEY; I own both in a cash account and my strategy for my TFSA is to "hide" higher-yield equities in it, hence my willingness for putting PPL or KEY in my TFSA. For a 10+ years holding, which one should I choose if I want dividend growth, some capital growth and lower volatility?
Thanks, Martin

Q: Hi 5i,
Apparently, Brookfield already owns almost 20% of IPL (I must have missed reporting of this fact). Could they sell their IPL shares and only report the sale after they have been completed? Could this “almost” offer be a way to increase the price before they sell?
Thanks for the input.
John

Q: In my RSP I hold 10% positions in Enbridge and Pembina Pipeline, and am satisfied with the results. What do you think of also buying InterPipeline in view of Brookfield's takeover ambitions?
-
Inter Pipeline Ltd. (IPL)
-
Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN)
-
Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BIPC)
Q: What are your thoughts on BIP's bid for IPL? I hold some IPL - wondering if I should sell it and cut my losses since it's trading at a $1 premium over the $16.50/share offer, or what the benefits/downsides are to waiting it out.
Q: What are your views on the merger of ARC and Seven Generations Energy? I've been a long-term investor in Arc, and have kept with ARC because of its management. Do you think this will be good news?
Q: I am down 20% and have been holding it for a while. Today 5% down on the q results.
Do you think there is an upside from here?

Q: Hi,
I have two questions on my TFSA:
1) Bought ENB at around @49 back in 2018, going no where since then (other than dividends). Is it good time to trade for BEP? (ENB is currently my only stock on the fossil fuel/energy space).
2) If I buy BEP for TFSA, which one makes most sense, BEP as PEPC? US vs. Canada-listed?
Thank you for your guidance as always.
Martin

Q: Hi 5i team.
If one wanted exposure to pipelines without single company risk, what ETF would be appropriate for US/Canada based or blended if such a thing exists.
Many thanks for your help.

Q: Hi esteemed analysts of 5i. Love your work and advice.
Now that natural gas prices seem to be moving upward lately, can you suggest which of these 3 gas producers in Western Canada would be the best choice for buying today, and why?
Thanks!
