Q: CPG reported year end today. Their future with the latest acquisition of the Shell assets looks very bright. Canadian oil stocks have been severely undervalued, but as a Canadian investor trying to support our workers and in turn the Canadian Economy and Canada's social security benefits we are starting to reap the huge benefits. Please provide your expert opinion on CPG's year end.
Thank you Gord

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, I've held CPG since 2012 where I bought it at 40 (don't know why I held on this long) and am now almost at my adjusted cost of 5.98. If I hit this target would you suggest selling and put the money elsewhere or holding on a bit longer, I don't think its going to get to 8 or 10 bucks (or am I wrong) because of the SU deal. I would hate to ride it back down if oil sells off. Thanks, as always you guys are a great help.

Q: Retired, dividend-income investor who trims and adds around mostly full 4-5% positions. I own AQN, FTS. With the drop, due to Texas among other factors, how much is already baked into their stock positions? I am ready to top up Fortis now that it has dropped to < $50. What does your crystal ball say? Add or wait a little longer? I know it is a timing question. I just didn't want to jump in and catch a falling knife if you thought their might be a bit more downside.

Thanks...Steve

Q: What are your thoughts on BAYTEX ENERGY (BTE) at current prices and going forward? Year end results were released Feb 24, 2021, and it appears as though there were no production surprises, and they have partially hedged their 2021 production with price protection at $45 with upside to 52/bbl. Do you have a price target at current prices? What if we see sustained oil prices at $60-65 or even further bullish (some calling for $80+). Are their names 5i prefers in its place, or are you satisfied with a HOLD on this going forward?

Q: With utilities, I believe 5i likes BEP best for management and outlook for the future, but based on current price, which of the above 5 energy stocks represents the best value? For my own learning, I would appreciate knowing what main metrics you are using to determine value?
Thanks!!

Q: Greetings:
Not a question, just a comment. I read with great interest, the ideas
and truth put forward by KEITH on the BULLY tactics being used
by Bip in their unwanted meddling. We all understand that the market
is the market, but the shareholders have taken a reduced dividend
and now when energy is turning the corner they are trying to steal it. I have a large holding in IPL for many years, and all we can do is try to make other shareholders aware of what is happening. I talked to IPL investor relations today about it , and I would suggest that others do the same. Thanks for printing this.
BEN.

Q: Greetings 5i team,
I am looking to sell my shares in IPL (hopefully at a higher bid than currently offered by Brookfield Infrastructure) and replace them with another pipeline company. I can either add to my current position in ENB, or put the money into TRP. Can you please compare the balance sheet strength of both companies, future growth prospects, and dividend growth prospects? ENB recently raised its dividend by 3%, while TRP raised its dividend by 7%. Is TRP the better income stock moving forward? I'm a long-term investor with a 10-yr + investment horizon.
Many thanks,
Brian

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,

Would you attribute Algonquin's 'relative weakness' compared to Brookfield Renewable Partners due to Algonquin's Texas exposure? Is Fortis in a similar situation as Algonquin? Please rank these stocks, with a rationale for your choices. Thanks in advance.

Q: Hi 5i
Today on BNN it was suggested that SU has had a large investor selling in the past week and perhaps that has now finished and this is contributing to SU share price recovery today. Do you know who the seller might have been? Also, heard a rumour that CNQ and SU are looking to merge. Have you heard this and would you consider it to be good for both companies? Thanks

Q: The utility stocks appear to be moving out of favour. Is this a good time to add, or has their softening only just begun. I realize it's a market-timing question, so maybe the question is better framed as: on the whole, are Canadian utility stocks running below or ahead of their average levels, whether based on FCF, PE, or some other more relevant metric?
Thanks very much...

Q: Hi Peter and team, Just thought I would ask about the ethical aspects of this so called hostile take-over? In my mind BIPC only with the support of BAM.a and BUFFALO AQUISITION CORP. aka BIF IV (looks like a shell company to me that) are trying to BULLY in here on long suffering shareholders of IPL. Let me try to put this in perspective, IPL has spent nearly four years and nearly four billion dollars engineering, designing, procuring, and constructing and world scale propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) facility, all to the boohoos of the so-called "investment community". The projected increase to IPL's EBITDA is estimated to increase by $400million to $500 million (a double), not including the recent increase in PP prices. Do you think IPL could get one good word out of anyone? Nope, they all stayed clear, even after IPL raised $700 million with the sale of 50% their Europe storage assets. Now IPL is self funding the project thru to it's completion (which significantly de-risks the project from a monetary point of view. Last CC management shared they are ramping up for testing and commissioning which looks like PDH should be up and chugging along by summer. I've been working in the energy industry for 42 years and can share, that a typical approach is to use IP, from patented chemical processes and copyrighted proprietary equipment that is proven. This isn't rocket science. What recourse do shareholders have considering BIPC aka BIF IV have acted unethically by acquiring an additional 10% of IPL without disclosing this to anyone? Who are the responsible authorities that should be looking into this? I would like to thank BIP for acknowledging the new facility has a great business plan as well as PPL ,as they have an almost exact replica (delayed by COVID19) planned in next year.
