Q: In an account I look after, the goals are capital preservation and income generation. There is sufficient diversification from other holdings. Some changes are required and I am considering either one of or both of EIF and TCL.A. Their market cap is below $2B; do you see them as reasonably secure and stable. Q: Hi, I’m missing the dividend on this stock, I guess it will not return soon? Could you rate it on a scale of one(worst) to ten.
I’m also selling for a capital loss , and possibly buy back. Would you sell now or wait till Nov. Dec. tax loss season? Would you even buy back as it seems to be a laggard compared to TOU.

Q: I assume Bipc is dropping to the $80 level because of the 0.25 of a share or $20 IPL offer. Does the price usually head back up to where it was pre-acquisition or nor? What sort of time frame?

Q: My Material's weighting is a little light and I am mulling over a purchase of LGO to balance out some gold stocks. I notice LGO's stock spiked in 2019 and then collapsed. Would you advise me that the spike, collapse and now climb-out is just a typical roller coaster Material company ride - ie the ride comes with the territory? In addition I am uncertain how much faith I should put into LGO's newish battery technology. "Green Technology" also seems to be another version of a roller coaster ride. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

I also hold BEP/UN and AQN. Being that BEPC is at break even now, I am wondering if I should hold it, or switch it out for BLX if BLX has more potential for growth over time. Would you have a different suggestion than BLX? Your thoughts on this would be appreciated!

Q: Hi 5i,
I'm lucky yo be up 100% in KEY over the past little more than a year in a registered account and based on my buy in price I receive a healthy 12% annual dividend. Although I know it can be thought of as a utility I realize KEY is more properly classed as an Energy stock and I also hold significant weight in ENB and TOU, so paring down Utility/Energy weight would be OK. I'm wondering if KEY's future growth and dividend prospects are strong enough that I ought to just hold on to all of this (so far) very good thing, or if it might be both prudent and rewarding to sell 1/2 and buy into GSY with the proceeds. I hold both CM and BNS but in reasonable weights and mainly for dividend growth, and I wonder if looking for some torque from GSY with the profit I've made in KEY makes sense.

Mullen group results looked good except for the drop in net income due to foreign exchange. There was also an analyst upgrade. Still, the stock dropped by over 4% today. Can you tell why the stock dropped today?

Q: Is there a simple formula I can use to calculate what price an oil company should be trading at. I would like to use it for Parex and a couple others.
