Q: Long time holder (since 2017). They reported last night (March 9). What are you thoughts on their results and outlook for the future. I'm down 40%. Do I continue to hope for a better future or lick my wounds and move on? Sell or Hold ?
Q: Could you comment on TA's fourth-quarter and year end results. It seems to trade at approximately 6.5 times free cash flow. How does this compare to other companies in its sector. Does it own 60% of RNW through its ownership of of TransAlta Generation Partnership which owns which owns 23% of RNW(see TransAlta Corporation | 2021 Annual Information Form)and its 37% direct ownership?
Q: The business journals suggest that Europe will put a big push on spending in alternative energy sources. Are there any north American listed companies that would be beneficiaries of that spending? I already own Cameco(uranium seen to also benefit).
Q: One of Redline's biggest customer segments is the Oil & Gas Industry worldwide. What is your opinion on RDL moving forward rather than recent historic?
Q: Hello Peter and team,
In terms of stability, safety of dividends and overall company fundamentals (and thanks to the answer you provided to the Emera question as per Globe and Mail), would it be fair to rank from best to worse as follows: FTS, BEP.UN, H, AQN, and than EMA? Thanks very much.
Q: Hi, could you please comment on the recent G&M article ‘ This dividend-growth story is also a debt-downgrade candidate’. Is there reason to be concerned? Thank you.
Q: I noticed in one of your answers today you indicated the TSX Index is roughly 17% energy. I thought people should understand that this figure includes pipelines, midstream companies, uranium, and for some reason, Parkland. I looked at the XIC holdings today and added these up, and these non-producers make up roughly 8% of the TSX Index. The XIC energy weight as of Mar 8th is listed as 16.6%. That means the O & G producers make up about 8.6% of the TSX Index. A bit lower after today.
Q: Do you see any second derivative opportunities to the current bull market in commodities? More specifically, are there any tanker shippers you favour in this environment, like NAT and TNK, or dry bulk shippers, like DSX or SBLK? With the possibility of a reinvigourated US oil and gas industry, what are your views on service companies such as HAL, SLB, and BKR? Thanks.
Q: This company's products and customers seem like they would be fairly recession resistant. Do you agree and what do you think of the company apart from that?
Thanks,
Q: Could you please comment on this new fund. There is quite a difference in the price of the series and ETF, could you explain. It's not showing a dividend yet, but on their site it says it has a target distribution of 5%. Would this be an appropriate fund for an income investor, or do think just buying a few Co.'s would be better? If so which ones? What do you think of Nine Point Energy, and would you agree with Eric Nutall's comment that the party in oil and gas has just begun, despite the large gains we have seen recently? Thanks so much for your service.
Q: What % exposure would you suggest for oil and gas, and if its not too late to this party, what are you favourites going forward with an entry today.
Q: How would you rank the attractiveness of NPP314, NNRG, and the new Ninepoint Energy Income fund, and why? Are there any alternatives would you prefer for getting Energy exposure now, if so what? Thanks
