Q: I struggle with the whole concept of "green".
The whole thing is driven by politics, not market forces.(making "dirty" fuels artificially expensive so that subsidized "green" energy can compete).
Here is my question: Yes, there are strong ideologies pushing this, but unless "we" adopt socialist command economy wholesale, market forces must eventually prevail?
"Green stocks/ ETFs are up, but buying them seems to me betting on a lame horse.
Would appreciate your take on this, and also if holding BAM.A could be considered a compromise. They seem to be gung- ho for "green" investments. Am also looking at PBW, but don't like the price.
My interest in this subject is limited yo next ~5 years.
Thank you
jerry

Q: Hi team,
With the uncertainty around the latest Covid variant and possible lockdowns and border closures feels like GXE's stock price is under pressure.Thinking longer term, three to six months would it be a good tactical decision to accumulate the shares at this price?Or would it be nest to sit on the sidelines and wait this through?
Many thanks,

Q: It's curious that Fortis seems to be thriving in December despite the market being spooked about impending interest rate hikes. None of the other utilities seem to have benefited. To what do you attribute their upward momentum and would you buy a utility today given likely interest rate hikes?

Q: All the renewable stocks other than BEP.UN are getting beaten up today. Any news that I missed. Could it be Tax loss selling since the sector is one of the few that has done poorly this year?

Q: I'm down about 15% on BIP.UN and am thinking of a tax loss sale and purchasing either NPI or BLX; and then reentering BEP in January. I currently hold CPX and AQN.

A similar question had been asked previously in June, and 5i's recommendation was either NPI or BLX. Has anything changed with these companies since June? What would be your preference for a short term hold today and why?

Many thanks!

Q: Hello -
In a recent Q&A, your team mentioned that TRP is cheap. It currently has an approximate PE of 30X. Do you see the "E" increasing in the near future to make this ratio look more reasonable? Or from what metric do you see this stock as being inexpensive ?

I also see negative Free Cash flow for the last number of years. Is this concerning?

With growing demand for EV's going forward, how much of a negative impact will this have on ENB and TRP ? Is one slightly more vulnerable to the changeover from ICE to EV than the other?

Thanks.
