Q: Hi 5i,
May I please have your current opinion on Electrovaya as a 3 to 5 year hold?

I see that the stock price has gone up recently.

If you could provide some insight on the company and their future prospects it would be appreciated.

Also, do you feel that there is much in the way of risk related to U.S. tariffs and the upcoming renegotiation of CUSMA.
Thanks!

Q: I see "Brookfield" is spinning out Rockpoint Gas Storage Inc. RGSI will own 40% of the storage facilities and "Brookfield" owning the remaining 60%.
Where is the offering coming from? from BAM or from BN?
I read this: "Rockpoint Gas Storage is owned by Brookfield Infrastructure Fund II and Brookfield Americas Infrastructure Fund, both of which are managed by New York City based Brookfield Asset Management". So I suppose shareholders of just BAM might get shares as a dividend? Too bad "Brookfield" has such convoluted ownership.
Or do we just subscribe to the IPO or buy shares in the open market.
Is there any hint of share price or of dividends?
What is your opinion of RGSI? Any information you have will be appreciated. Thanks.

Q: Hi 5i, Want to raise some cash in TFSA.
I have shares in KEL : I'm up 33% from purchase, KEL is down approx 6% this year, KEL does not pay a Div.
I have shares in PHX : Up 11% from purchase, PHX is down approx 19% this year, PHX pays a 10.6% Div.
Share values are < $5k each.
Given the outlook for Energy sector for the next year, would you recommend selling 1, or other, or both.
Thanks for your usual great support.

Q: Can you please address the question of power demand required to run the data centres of the future. The power infrastructure build out could lag demand thus driving up electrical rates, Would there also be a drag on earnings for companies that don’t get the power required?

Q: I'm interested in exposure to natural gas - exposure to LNG, data center power, etc. I came across the FCG ETF some time ago, but never really paid much attention to it until now. I've noticed that it is trading lower today than during the GFC period. Regarding this ETF, how does today compare to then? Are there future contracts within this ETF ?........Different components within the ETF itself compared to 17 years ago?.....a worse price for the commodity ?

Do you like this ETF for Natural Gas exposure? UNG doesn't really appeal to me because of its make-up.

Q: Could you tell me aside from the fact that the Canadian market is/has been dominated by resource companies, why the volume of CNQ and SU for example is characteristically the highest on the TSX? While I have a fair bit of CNQ, I wonder what the high steady volume should be saying to investors now? Is it about good dividends, future price increases of crude, anticipation of the federal government major projects ...? Would you be loading up today on oil companies?
Many thanks.

Q: Hi 5i Team - This has not been a favourable stock for a long time. However is it possible it may have some possibilities going forward. How much debt has been paid down and how much remains. How did the last quarter look. Do you think management has the capability to turn this around or is new management needed. Are there any fundamentals you think are noteworthy. Also what is the insider and institutional ownership and has there been any significant trading recently.
Thanks.

Q: Nat Gas:
I hold ~1% each of ARX and TOU. Also, ~5% XOM, which is also a major gas producer.
I don't have much confidence in this liberal gov't's promises of gas development. Would you recommend a US gas producer, and if so, which one?
Thanks
Jerry

Q: I acquired this stock ( a significant position) one month ago ,with a 1-2 years perspective, believing that it is a solid Cie financially, well priced, and well positioned for the natural gaz demand in 2026 .It already shows 11% loss on paper,is my choice still "reasonable", and do you see it as a sell, buy,or hold in your perspective ?

Q: Hi 5i
I am bargain hunting so looking at Brookfield Renewable. I charted BEPC and BEP-UN and am puzzled by the significant outperformance of BEPC over 1-5 years. I don't think the div treatment should make that much of a difference. BEPC is 9% off 52 week high, BEP-UN 15% off. Your thoughts? And if I decide to buy, am I wrong to think BEP-UN could have more gain potential?
Thanks, Greg

Q: Hi. Pursuant to my prior question about Orca, based on the "bare bones" math it appears that Orca has a Market Cap of $70.4 MM CAD (19.8 MM shares x $3.56CAD), cash on hand of $136.8 MM CAD ($98.5 MM USD), no debt, and cash flow from (6 month) operations of $72.5 MM CAD ($52.2 MM USD), or $3.66 CAD/share. Note that all the financial data is taken from the 6 month statements up to June 30 2025. I guess my first question is whether not I am missing anything material in the "math", as these numbers indicate a negative Enterprise value. The follow up is that if this numbers are indeed correct, then this valuation must be a function of perceived political risk, given that Orca operates in Tanzania. Can you shed any insight on this, or is this outside your wheelhouse ?

Q: I bought NEE in a tax-deferred account because of fast-growing power demands by AI and other technologies (also because you liked it so much). It has been a frustrating business to hold, especially compared to other utilities like DUK and AEP. Did NEE become a victim of the current US admin’s pig-headedness about renewables ? NEE shares worth holding ? Analysts seem torn : several rate it a strong buy but almost as many rate it as hold/sell. Questions posed to different AI engines give responses that are just as conflicted.

What do you think of NEE’s business model and the prospects for share appreciation over the next 3 years vs. its peers? If possible, some in-depth comment would help . Please act as critical umpires who are now fed up (pretend if you must). If you have better ideas (preferably US , UK or Europe) I would welcome your suggestions.

Q: Hi 5i Team - Could you provide an update on Valeura including your take on its Q2 report. Please include insider ownership and any recent activity, its potential for growth, and anything else you think is significant. I am not sure whether to continue holding (small position) or take profits.
Thanks.
