Q: the large swing up seems rather unexpected based on recent results and comments to recent questions. What might be the driving force ?

Q: Should one be concerned that Alain Bedard holds all 3 positions of Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer. While one cannot deny that he has been very successful over the years, my concern is about governance. I also wonder about succession plans as this looks like a one man show. Please tell me why this should ( or should not) concern me enough not buy the stock. Thanks. Derek.
Q: When will earnings be announced and will that be pre or post market?
Thanks
Sheldon

Q: Is there a good Canadian ETF for consumer cyclical / discretionary sector? If not what basket of stocks would can be included in the sector?
Q: Hi there,
I know you can only generalize re portfolio makeup - I’m up 75% on this stock and it now makes up 7% of my fairly well-diversified portfolio…do you think it’d be appropriate to trim back to 5% at this point or stay in this weighting as everything I’ve read about this company seems very positive in the near term?
Thanks very much.

Q: Hi
I know that there has been lots of discussion on 5i about the cost base for Topicus when it was spun out from CSU. However, I've reviewed the questions and forums and I'm still confused. TOI has been sold in a non-registered account and now I need to determine the cost base for tax purposes. The brokerage shows $0. Is there a consensus on what the TOI cost base at spin out should be? Thanks for providing some clarity!

Q: I've been watching ECN over the past little while through 5i and note that they seem to be one of your favourite companies due to strong mgt. Noted your answers to some questions on Jan 24/25 and you felt that they have strong upside potential over the next 12-24 months. How risky would you say an investment in ECN is....say relative to a company like GSY? Thank you.
Q: I purchased AT at just over $8 for my TFSA slightly more than a couple of years ago and am down >70% since. It would need to appreciate by >350% to get me back to break-even. I have a long timeframe but given that - aside from the 6 month period between about Aug/20 and Feb/21 when the share price ramped up exponentially - AT’s historical price stays put in the +/- $2.50 price range, do you see any realistic probability of AT appreciating by magnitudes of order over the course of the next couple of years? I wouldn’t think even a buy-out/take over would provide that kind of premium. It just seems like dead money for the foreseeable future. I know you can’t personalize advice but in a similar situation (eg Growth Model Portfolio) would you take your lumps and move on or would you be inclined to continue to hold and, if so, for how long? Thanks.
Q: I want to add another posiotion. She is just 3 years old. I'm thinking BYD; SHOP; or GSY. Your thoughts please.

Q: Hello. I already hold these 4 stocks, in a well diversified by sector, TFSA with WELL down considerably and the other 3 near break even. I have 26 stocks in my TFSA, so rather than deploying new money into an additional holding, I am considering adding to these companies. Your thoughts.
Q: If long-term growth is only consideration which company would you choose in the Industrial Products category? Savaria or ATS ?
Q: There is an article this morning regarding the number of hours that Canadian doctors have to spend on doing paperwork over the course of a day. Things like insurance and income assistance forms, medical reviews for drivers and disability tax credits, etc., said to be overwhelming. Apparently some some forms are being shortened, but hope is that more technology will be used in doctor's offices to further reduce the work.
Is this an area of healthcare that WELL is involved in, or could be?
Is WELL expanding its expertise in other areas in the future - i.e. "long runway for growth" ?

Q: I need to free up some cash in an un-registered account for a large purchase. Which of the above holdings have the worst outlook. So I guess rank in order you would sell them. I will likely need to sell 2 of them. I don't hate any of them but something needs to go to free up the cash.
Q: I have a half position in ATZ . Given the most recent results are you comfortable in making it a full position at the present price?
Q: I know AEM is one of the most frequently mentioned gold stocks when 5i is asked for a gold stock recommendation. Since October the price of gold has essentially been a straight line up and to the right. I see no insider buying at AEM. What are we missing? They seem to be a non performer!
