Q: Hi 5I team. Do you think the outperformance presently of Tucows and Kinaxis is correlated to their sector or are they possibly the outliers in the growth portfolio? Thank You

Q: In the October portfolio there is a positive 36.4% return in 2015 for SYZ. I think this is incorrect and the return for 2015 should be a negative value.
Q: Any reason for today's decline and is this an opportunity to add to my position ... My average cost here is 18.50
Q: I hold SPB. What do you think of the Canexus buyout from an SPB perspective? Thanks, great to have you folks advising.

Q: Hi Peter, please comment on Pure, its back to 2013 levels and has had a rough week. We're looking to enter it if you still like it and can't see any news on the decline except for market weakness. Thank you, Paul
Q: I know that in the context of the broader market being horrendous that many equities are down. But pur has been putting in new lows and insider selling is very high. My instinct is to take a loss and move on yet you still hold this in your growth portfolio. How has your confidence level on this one changed in the last month?
Q: I follow the balanced equity portfolio. I would like to understand when you make the changes indicated for the month's theoretical portfolio, and when that information is available on the Website.
For example, the July portfolio indicates the following changes: "July 2 shares of CSU and bought 30 shares of BIN, sold FM". When where they done in July, and when is the information available to 5i members?
Thanks,
IF

Q: I believe you've suggested around a 25% allocation to your growth portfolio while also suggesting 20 stocks overall for diversification. With that said would you say selecting 15 stocks from the balanced equity portfolio and 5 stocks from the growth portfolio would be a sound strategy for a young investor that doesn't need the income from the income portfolio? This is assuming diversification across sectors. A etf like VXC or XAW would be added for international exposure. Cheers
Q: This small cap is down significantly! Worthwhile to hold though for 2-3 year time frame. Thanks for your valuable input.
Q: Hi Peter and Team,
I am interesting in building a diversified portfolio and am looking to invest using your balanced equity portfolio as a foundation. I like the idea of owning 20 to 25 good, quality names and am thinking to eventually build up to a point where I have a similar allocation breakdown as your model portfolio (balanced equity), with maybe a bit in growth eventually as well. I noticed that AYA has gone up a lot today on the news release. Is this a good time to take a position in that, or are there a handful or so of other names that you would recommend getting into at this time to start building up my portfolio?
Also, would it be best to purchase a 5% equal stake into each name - as per the portfolio section of your website - or closer to the allocated amount in your pdf report section?
Thanks for your time!
Mike

Q: Hello 5i Team,
What are your thoughts on the recent resignation of director Chris Gardner? The stock is off by 12% today on the news. Is the news simply shaking investor confidence or is there a fundamental change here?
Thanks!
