Q: Could you recommend a company that is addressing the issue of moving the medical field to electronic storage. I here that Canadian doctors are behind the times in record keeping and continue to use paper files as I see in my own doctor's office. A blog mentioned Telus is involved in this space but not sure if that's true.

Q: Hi Team, Looking at Currency Exchange International's (CXI) recent weakness, and Element Financial's (EFN) recently started dividend, what do you think of a switch from CXI to EFN at this time?
Thank you, Michael

Q: Good Afternoon Peter, Ryan, and Team,
My question is with regard to insider ownership at Savaria. According to the recent Ink Insider Report on SIS the CEO and CFO own approximately 30 million out of a total of 32.55 million shares outstanding. This means that the total public float is about 2.55 million shares or less. Could you verify if this actually true ??
Thank you. DL

Q: Peter and team: I currently hold PHM in my TFSA and have additional funds to add more. My present holdings in this stock amounts to less than 2% of my entire investments (open, TFSA,RRSP ACCOUNTS). What are your thoughts of increasing my position in PHM
Q: Can you please comment on their results. Thanks
Q: Hello, Further to my previous question on adding to to my positions in AYA, ATD.B, CCL.B, MDA and DSG, should I buy them now or wait until the end of December after tax loss selling? Do you think they will be victims of tax loss selling?
Also, if I have enough to add another two names would WSP and OTC (from growth portfolio) be a good decision at this time with the 5 I'm adding above?
Carla

Q: Hi, I have your balanced equity portfolio (minus goldcorp), a few of your income stocks and 10 growth stocks. All of these are held in TFSA/RRSP. Up until now new money has been going into new positions in order to complete the portfolio. Now I have new money to deploy which will be in a non-registered account. Rather than new stocks I plan to just buy more of the ones I have in the model portfolio but am looking for advice on how to approach this. Obviously I won't have enough to add to all 20 names. I was thinking I'd start with 5. Obviously this means I'll be overweight in those 5 but not by a large amount. Does this approach make sense? How should I pick the 5? I notice in another answer you suggested ATD, CCL, MDA, AYA and DSG for someone starting with the portfolio. Should these also be the ones I add to? And then in what order should I deploy additional money when its available?
Best,
Carla

Q: PEO has been dropping on big volume, any thoughts? Does 5i go and meet with management of any of the followed companies, I've never seen a mention?
Q: Hello Peter & 5i team
Could I have an opinion on management and whether the underlying business will make it pull through its rough patch. Would you guess a 1 or 2 year hold to see a recovery or sooner?
Thanks

Q: If one has the goal of eventually owning all of the companies in your balanced portfolio, but can't afford all of the companies right now, (keeping in mind which sectors you think have the most potential in 2016, which 5 companies would you buy NOW to take advantage of that potential?
Q: Hi there,
In my TFSA I am down significantly on the following stocks with no tax loss benefit. Which of the following would you recommend doubling down on/ bringing back up to a 3% portfolio weighting? Do you think they will be under tax loss pressure over the next few weeks?
AVO down -50%
AYA down - 32%
GUD down - 11%
PHM down -60%
BIN down -20%
Thank you,
Kerri

Q: Hello Peter and 5i:
I like your Balanced Equity Portfolio, and understand you started it with equal dollar weighting in March, 2013. Currently, however, the % weightings range from about 3% to 6%. I have two related questions:
Question 1: If an investor were to set up this portfolio today, would you recommend EQUAL DOLLAR WEIGHTING in the stocks, or would it be better to use the current weightings?
Question 2: Do you recommend "REBALANCING" the stocks in this portfolio, e.g. once a year? Ie sell some shares of the companies that have the highest weighting, and use the proceeds to purchase shares of those with the lowest weighting, to equalize the weightings again. Would this be a "buy low, sell high" approach.
Thank you!
Ken Morin

You figure institutional selling is all but over?

Q: Hi Peter,
Always nice to see you as a guest on Market Call.
I noticed you don't personally own any of the past picks you talked about.
Just curious, how do you participate in the "market"? ETF's, low cost mutual funds, individual stocks? Do you own any of the stocks from your published portfolios?
Thanks
