Q: Between these two companies, which one has more potential in the next 3-5 years, without taking on two much risk?

Great job on the changes to your website. I'm resistant to change so the transition is slow for me, but I'm starting to really like it :)

Q: Hi Peter & Ryan, I am looking to increase my weighing in the tech sector and already hold DH and ET along with a few others. I would like to buy more of one of these. Which one would you favor at this time DH or ET. Thanks, Mario.

Q: Hello Peter and team,
I am trying to mirror the Model balance equity portfolio. I have other positions(ATD.B,CCL.B,CXI,ESL,HCG,KXS,MG,PBH,SIS,SJ,SLF,WSP) as is from model portfolio, but a few positions I am holding in my portfolio which I am considering equivalent as below:

For AEM- ABX, BNS-CXR, CGX-BEP.Un, CSU-ESL(8% ),ENB-PPL, MDA-DH, PKI-IPL, SYZ-AVO, T-CJR.B

Do you see any issue with it. Are these switch equivalent. My portfolio is fairly diversified, almost in line with model balanced equity portfolio, except I have energy (including IPL&PPL) at 16%.

Thanks,

Kuldip

Q: CPD has been slowly rising since hitting $11.13 on February 25 but it is still down 20% from its 52 week high of $15.33. What are your thoughts on this ETF?

Q: this stock has been given a good review on BNN and is in your income portfolio. I am thinking of selling our position in DRT and / or Exco Technology to generate funds. Do you agree with this move? Thanks, Lesley

Q: I`m not sure this is even fair question, so I`ll understand if you pass on it. I rode dividend stocks to nice profits a couple of years ago and think the time might be right for a strategy like this again. I would like to get something in the neighbourhood of at least 4% and preferably large enough that the downside is limited if I have to sell. I have $100K U.S. and about $400K Can. More than half of my retirement income comes from stack-market returns. Clearly I would to be diversified and would appreciate a number of suggestions. Thanks for the help

Q: Good Morning Peter, Ryan, and Team,
My question this morning is general in nature. I manage an RRSP account which I pretty closely follow the 5i Income Portfolio. However in several cases I substitute companies in the Income Portfolio with the following:
- Sub PKI for SPB
- Sub T for BCE
- Sub FSZ for IGM
The above subs have better growth rates which should translate into better dividend growth over time. I would like your opinion of the above subs please ??
Also you have removed IGM from the Income Portfolio. Does this mean you are bearish on the asset manager sector generally or just IGM in particular ??
Thank you for your sage advice. DL

Q: I am substantially down on PUR. Is it a good time to top it up? Also down on PEO. Would that be a top up candidate as well?

Thanks!

Q: Hello Peter and 5i team!

I am in the process of having my portfolio mirror the 5i Model Portfolio. I currently own Tricon Capital, would it be considered a good substitute for Home Capital Group or would you recommend making the switch? Which one currently has the higher upside potential? The portfolio is held in RRSP/TSFA accounts.

Thanks for the great service!
Angelo
