Q: Hi , if Britain leaves , will the "market" perceive it as a negative to ATD.B
- would it make more sense to sit on the sidelines for June , or maybe scale in on dips
Thanks,
David

Q: Hello 5i team,
I'm currently building a portfolio from scratch for my mother who is 61 and retired. We are thinging conservative value and income equities for 10+ years.
Which 5 stocks, either from your balanced or income portfolio would you use as building blocks? If possible, can you recommend stocks that are fairly priced at the moment?
Thank you for your excellent service,
Cam.

Q: Hello Peter and team, Your assessment please on ET's earnings yesterday. Still consider it basically as income more than growth?
Thank you!
Silvia

Q: I'm interested in PUR as an investment & would appreciate your comments on its future.I realize they had a strong last quarter.Currently I have 5% holdings of both SIS & DBO & they are doing well for me.If you like it, what %age of PUR should I buy or am I getting too much money in small caps. What %age of small caps would you recommend ? Thanks as always.
Q: Hello 5i team,
I am currently up 48% on CXI and am contemplating switching to Savaria (SIS). This would be within my TFSA. I am overweight financials (as most Canadians probably are..) and currently underweight industrials.
Would you endorse such a move; are there any "red flags" you would see to such a switch? Any thoughts or comments would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Mike

Q: Is this a good entry point for Alimentation Couche Tard? Thank you
Q: I want to increase my equity allocation ; it is still correct to simply buy your whole balanced equity portfolio (5 % each names) ?
Q: It's being reported that Apollo Global Mgmt has submitted a bid for CXR. Will the company release details of the bid, and if so, how soon?
Q: you seem to get a question on couche tard everytime it declines, and i know it is one of your favorites.
so is the recent decline due to sector rotation, cdn dollar strength, margins on gas etc or what.
i would think with the recent purchse of esso stations in mtl, possible bidding on valero and loblaws stations the stock would be rising, also most targets are in the 70 dollar range. dave

Q: I hold these 3 plus XLV in the health care portion of my portfolio. Not adverse to risk but I am wondering whether CXR is worth the grief. Is there a case for focussing on the others, or does the risk/reward of CXR make it worthwhile holding?
Q: Hi Peter!
If the Growth portfolio had to be reduced to 10 names what would be your top pick today?
correction... on this question it should read top 10 picks today not top pick. Thank you!

Q: I am having trouble with your math.
The model portfolio was up 94.9 % as of april 30 since inception(thx ) and the model returned 4.99% in May should the total return now be 99.8% not 104.6% as reported.

Q: Hello, I've noticed that Open Text is in the Growth Portfolio and Kinaxis is in the Balanced Portfolio. I would have guessed they would be the other way around. Do you believe OTC has more growth potential than KXS?
Thank you!!
Dave
Thank you!!

Q: Lots happening here today. I understood from all the different sources that there was an auction and identified bidders were Blackstone, Carlisle and Apollo Global and maybe others. Blackstone and Carlisle are out for now because their bids were not competitive. There is a deadline on this auction.
Who knows what is true here but is this a real process. Wouldn't there have to be something more formal that would require a news release?
Thanks for you input.

Q: Well, that was a wild turn of events.
Buy more? Sell or hold for better days ahead?
If the private equity firms have indeed walked away, does that make the business less valuable or should it still recover into the $40-50 range once the hysteria dies down? Put another way, was it at $45 because it was worth that or is it a $35 stock with hype and upside priced in on the deal.
Thanks
