Q: I would appreciate your suggestions in what to do with this stock. Are my options selling or acquiring Loblaw stock or is acquiring Loblaw stock an option? If I sell I will have a nice capital gain which I will have to declare as I hold it in a non registered account. If I were to acquire Loblaw stock and then sell Loblaw in a few months does a capital gain apply? Thank You.

Q: This is just my opinion, but I think that Avigilon is another example of a case where Quality of management i.e, CEO attitude is the number 1 factor in their situation. I recall watching interviews on BNN where comments were made about how agressive the CEO was and I believe there was, at one time at least, a higher than average turnover in the C-suite and R&D department due to the CEO. I try to emulate the growth portfolio but I could never bring myself to buy AVO because of the impression I had of the management.

Q: I sold my shares in AVO today and intend to replace them within my TFSA with either Shopify or any other that you may recommend. The ones that I do not have from the growth portfolio are GUD PEO QHR RRX and SH.
Is there a defined price for the recent share offering that would define the trading price range?
If your recommendation would be to go with SH over the others mentioned above, do you suggest I wait for now till the price settles - say around the anticipated offer price? Do you have an opinion on what that might be? The price was quite volatile today.

Can you help me decide which ones would be appropriate to buy first and at this point in the cycle? I have a good selection of stocks from the Growth and Balanced portfolios. As far as sector allocation goes, I intend to duplicate all three portfolios eventually, but just want a sense of which stocks look like particularly good buys right now.

Q: For those of us who did not have the opportunity of exiting our CXR position on Friday, Amber Kanwar posted this link from the Royal Bank today rating cxr "outperform rating"
I know 5i feeling on cxr is not great, sometimes as an investor we must thing for ourselves before we push the sell button. I for one was not available to push the sell on Friday, and if I had read your email I would have. Now others still have a positive thesis on this account
John Zechner yesterday also stated he felt things were overdone and was actually buying.

I would appreciate your thoughts?

Q: Please help me to understand that if 5I doesn t have any more intel on company management than that of the avg investor,what is the benifit of membership?
I, like so many others in this forum have been ambushed with the recent developments and incurred losses leaving me disillusioned
with 5 I research.
I really thought that with 5 i"s connections to the market they had more insight,(cxr hasn't been the only surprise)
Please understand I am not blaming 5i for this,it was my decision at the end of the day. I just don't see the benifits of renewing my membership.
