Q: Hi there, as part of the new year, I have rebalanced my portfolio with all names in the BE Portfolio with equal weighting. By reading through other's Q&A's and I've broken it down into the following accounts:

UNREG: BNS, SLF, WSP, T, PKI, CGX, ENB
TFSA: CSU, SIS, PBH, KXS, NFI, CXI, TOY, SYZ
RRSP: ATD.B, CCL.B, SJ, WCP, MX, AEM, MG, ENGH

I believe I read you are considering moving a name or two from the growth portfolio over to the BE Portfolio so I have a little bit of cash in my TFSA to make that purchase when the time comes. Based on my breakdown, are there any names you would swap around for maximum portfolio returns?

Thanks so much for your help and for everything your company does!

Q: Good Morning: I hold a very small position in Enghouse and am considering an addition of shares. Your last report was in 2015 when everything seemed rosy but 2016 has seen some challenges emerge. From the Q&A section of your website I get the sense that you are still basically positive about the company. Is it your opinion that they will be able to successfully continue their acquisition strategy and who do you see as their major competitors in this area? As always, thanks for your help. Don

Q: Hi There,
I am currently considering adding a position in my kids RESP account of one of the three companies, CCL.B, MX or OTC.
I currently hold BNS,FFH, MG and REI.UN in this account. I am looking at a 7 year plus time frame before the funds are needed.
Please advise which of the three you think would be the best fit, or any other suggestions that you might recommend.
Thank you for your help.

Q: OTC is MOST confusing:
1)Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ:OTEX) announced that its board has approved a 2-for-1 share split of the outstanding common shares of OpenText . The share split will be implemented by way of a share dividend.
PAYABLE Jan. 24; for shareholders of RECORD Jan. 9.

2) The detailed blurb then says:A due bill is an entitlement attached to listed securities undergoing a material corporation action, such as the Share Split. In this instance, anyone purchasing a Common Share during the period commencing at the opening of business two trading days prior to the Record Date (i.e., Thursday, January 5, 2017) and ending on the Payment Date (i.e., Tuesday, January 24, 2017), inclusive (the "due bill period"), will receive a payable right. Any trades that are executed during the due bill period will be flagged to ensure purchasers receive the entitlement to the additional Common Share issuable as a result of the Share Split.

Based on the above, should I buy Jan/5, 9 or 24? Does it even make any differenc?
Thanks, Austin
