Q: After being a laggard for most of 2016 &2017, Sylogist shares finally picked some momentum after release of last quarterly results in December, probably due to renewed optimism about company's outlook for 2018 and beyond. However, market interest seems to be fading out as reflected in share price falling back to $9.50-9.75 level (below where it started last year). I do understand that no analyst covers the co. and stock has low liquidity. Over past 4-5 years, since we started investing in the company, it has produced decent returns for us including respectable dividend growth each year, but I am wondering if it's time to lighten up (6-7% of portfolio) and deploy funds elsewhere. Unless, of course, if there is a compelling reason/potential to hold. Thanks

Q: Scotia shows outstanding shares for Dollarama declining from 144 million, in 2014, to an estimated 103 million in 2020. Is it within the realm of possibility that management continues to purchase shares and decrease the share count to the point where just privatizing the company becomes the logical end game?

Q: Hi 5i! Me again! I might as well start off the New Year with a few questions....I am looking for a growth stock that in your eyes has very good potential for 2018. If you had to pick just one, which would it be and why? Cheers (again) , Tamara
Q: Happy and prosperous New Year 5i team,
I am just considering adding to my tfsa. I bought a chunk of Toy when it fell and thus have a bit of a profit already. And I was thinking of adding to it in 2018. But, I noticed that you added Dol to your buys this year and I have learned to pay close attention when you make a move. So, the question is, given that I am already well diversified, should I add to Toy or is there something about Dol which you have an extra strongfeeling about, since you added it to your portfolio?
thanks

Q: currently own HWO and at a loss but only a 1.8 % weight. I am thinking of increasing this position to a 3% weight. Is this stock a buy at the moment?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Do you still favor HWO in this space? The share price took a big dump, perhaps from tax loss selling. With a clean balance sheet this name should start to gradually rise in the new year, but there's not much buzz surrounding it. Any catalysts - outside of the energy sector picking up?
Q: In one of your comment on GPS you mention " While the quarter was not great, GPS has spent the majority of the year investing in its business (Mobi, expanding sales force), trading profitability 'today' for growth 'tomorrow', and we are in 'wait and see' mode as mgmt executes its growth strategy. The stock now trades at a P/S of 1.6x.
Would you wait now for a few quarters to see how the earnings are before buying?
