Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I hold Crius primarily for income. The sharp drop today though was a big surprise...despite knowing that Seeking Alpha is behind it and they could be spreading misinformation.
While I plan to continue holding for now I would like to be reasonably confident that Crius has been and is being responsible in managing dividend payouts. That information will be pivotal in deciding whether or not to buy more.

Would you please outline the “math” to support the fact that Crius. been fiscally responsible in this regard ....or not.

Thank you for helping out here.

Q: Recently this stock peaked @$53.24 and has graudually dropped to the present level $45.30. This stock seemed to be the poster child, and needless to say I added to my position in the high fifties, and now I am underwater.
Is there anything I should be concerned about this stock, or just hold. Earning have always beat forecasts, so I have a difficult time understand the performance.
Your advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Q: Hi 5i Team

I’m using the 5i model portfolios for the 35% portion of my overall portfolio allocated to Canadian Equites. I’ve been investing in companies from both, the balanced and income portfolios, mostly because I’m having a hard time choosing which model portfolio is right for me. I like the dividends and income provided by one but also like the growth potential the balanced portfolio provides. I’m 50 years old and plan to retire in the next 3-5 years and would like to know if there is any criteria or guidance on what model portfolio to choose?

Thank you
