Q: Investors must be very mad with Toy's owners'decision to sell some shares @ $53.40 as current price @ $52.30 (lower yesterday)is below the above owners'price. Announced good Q after close on Aug 1 prompting a sharp increase the next day to $57.50 H.On Aug 3 our great Peter made it a top pick on BNN @ $55.91 .What an expensive haircut for my purchase on Aug 3 after top pick?
Q: I wish to build a Balanced Equity style portfolio, i own BNS and ENB presently. If i was to add another 6 picks from the Balanced Equity Portfolio what would you feel are best at this time.
Q: Hi, Could you please comment on CCL earnings release. CC just ended and there was this constant chatter about every single raw material price going higher and impacting profitability. Innovia seems to have taken the most impact with $35 mln in the hole. Price increases to Innovia customers may only happen in 2019. Silver Line :CEO did mention that profitability of the company still fairly reasonable in H1, even with high raw material costs, any price increases will bode strongly for the results in H2 and beyond. Thanks
Q: You recently made a comment about CSU taking a big hit? I wasn’t aware of this. When did this happen, how much did it decline and why? Is it still a buy?
Q: I just sold XTC at a small profit, although it looked like it was improving but with the MG guidance in mind my patience ran out. I bought TOY (on sale today) what's your thoughts on this and how does this change my risk and growth prospects. Thanks Jerome
Q: Hi Peter, Ryan & Co.,
I bought PKI about 5 yrs ago, and it's done very well for me. I am a bit disappointed, however, with the rather slow dividend growth (this is the reason I bought it). As you noted, it's payout ratio is only 35%. So now I'm debating whether or not I should sell my position and invest in something else with a higher, growing yield, or wait in the hopes that PKI will be a bit more generous to its shareholders. What do think? Is the company hoarding cash for a specific purpose, or can I expect dividend increases in the future? Thanks,
Brian
Q: Good Morning
Are there 5 companies in you BE and Growth portfolios that you would consider undervalued over the last year or so. At one point GSY and ECN were considered undervalued. Is that still the case, especially with GSY?
Thank You
