Q: Q: What are your thoughts on ECN? Is it a reasonable buy at this time? Are the dividends of the prefered shares, series A and C reasonably safe? I very much appreciate your expertise and insight.

Q: So I'm at the point where our rrsp will be in withdrawals-mode to fund our living expenses moving forward and therefore a shift from the balanced portfolio to income seems appropriate. There is no urgency in this shift however. With the income portfolio down around 5% year to date do you think this is a good time to begin this process in earnest. Would your recommendation be to move gradually into the income names from the balanced equity names or to "just do it." Also we have an increase in cash coming from mortgage investments in our rrsp's being paid off over the next 18 months. Would you recommend buying the income portfolio names as the cash arrives or some more staggered approach. I know you don't have a crystal ball and that you might suggest this is an individual choice for us to make but nonetheless I am seeking YOUR call on these 2 issues. I appreciate your input.
Q: Would you be comfortable with a 3% position at this time (new position) or should I wait until it settles a bit ? Also, can you please comment on the payout ratio, sustainability of the dividend and the quality of the management team. Will the current share price make it be harder for them to make new profitable acquisitions ? Thank you.
Q: I have a 1% position in RHT that was purchased at a recent high { momentum ? }. I am down 15% and I am considering adding more or cutting my losses and moving on. The stock is in my TFSA where I expect reasonable growth over 3 years . Is doubling down at $2.00 a wise move ? Thank you.
Q: Does Magna do a lot of business in China? If not can you explain why the stock is being pounded today? I know it was downgraded, but would that really take the stock down almost 5% given how undervalued it already is?
Q: What is your reading of the quarterly and annual results? Has the investment thesis changed in any way?
Q: Please comment on NFI's Q4.
Q: Just fyi. For what it's worth, this morning Scotia Capital maintained their Sector Outperform rating, raised their target from $78 to $80, and said investors should buy on this dip. Apparently the market disagrees as the stock is currently down another dollar today.
Q: Any specific reason for today's drop in SHOP, apart from profit taking?
Q: Hi, could you please comment on the earnings release. They also had some comments on same stores sales growth and outlook - your thoughts please. Thanks
Q: Good morning!

Q: TV entered into an agreement with Puma on March 16 at a cost of $500,000. This is not that much money but is this a beneficial agreement for TV & its shareholders? It appears that the strike price for the shares & warrants is quite low but there may be more positive facts & conditions that have not yet been released. Is TV getting a good deal for this agreement or is so small it is inconsequential? Thanks as always,
Dave

Q: Can you determine how many of the last 8 quarters have been "misses" for ATD.B ?
Thanks. Joe
Thanks. Joe
Q: Is it time to dump Alimentation Couche Tard?
Q: In trying to determine whether ATD is now a buying opportunity. In terms other than " EBITDA was a big miss " and more along the lines of " We didn't sell any milk because the fridge wasn't turned on " . Why was there such a big miss ?
Q: Comments regarding earnings plse
Q: Hello Peter / Ryan and Team,
I have the model balanced portfolio other than KL for AEM, a tiny position in MG, and am still missing Teck.B. My thoughts for new money is to either get MG up to a proper position size (approx 4%) or to buy Teck.b for a 3% position.
What are the pros and cons of each. Thanks for all your hard work.

Q: I keep hearing about TOY being tied exclusively with Toys R Us but I have seen Spin Master toys being sold in numerous outlets including: Canadian Tire, Mastermind and Walmart. Shoppers even has some of their product like Paw Patrol.
It seems the recent decline has been a bit over done?

Q: With the precipitous decline over the last 9 months, I can understand that your answers to recent questions on CGX are a little less than enthusiastic but I note you still include it in the Income Portfolio and still rate it at A-. Do you think the dividend is at all threatened or do see any other major negatives on the horizon?
