Q: I own full positions in these four holdings, and have to sell two by the end of January - the other two will be held for long term. Please recommend which two you would suggest holding, and which two to sell. I'm not concerned about sector balance for this question. Thanks, Kim

Q: In your last response to VNR ( Nov 5) you indicated that you were not too happy with the stock. Do you still feel this way? I have only a 1.8% weight and deciding if I should add to it or sell and put the cash from the sell into CVD and XHY? I do currently own both CVD and XHY but only at a 2.5 % weight. These stock are inside a RRSP.
Thanks

Q: Hello Peter, I own both Dollarama and WSP Global. Both have suffered lately, perhaps even more than the market generally. I still have a long investing timeframe and a balanced portfolio. Would you suggest I hang on to these for better future performance or could the capital be better used in other names. Thank you.

Q: Happy New Year to all
Is it possible that TSGI could double in a year? And GC as well? Or are your comments about them being favorites saying that growth is there but relative only to the volatility and weakness of other stocks.?? I realise this is a tough call...
Thank you

At present he holds, ATD,BMO,BNS,ZWU,WEED,CCL,FTS,GWO,KXS,NFI,OTEX,PBH,SHOP,SPOT,VGT. His TFSA is going quite well so far (100K) and he has a very long term horizon. Your suggestions are welcome. Please subtract as may question credits as needed. Cheers, Tamara

Q: My portfolio closely resembles your Balanced Equity model. Last year in January I rebalanced to match, reasonably, the allocations of that model at that rime. Is that a good idea now? Are you planning a rebalance soon?

Q: I have BNS 3% total weight, CCL.B 2.9 % total weight and TOY 1.7 % weight. I have some cash and can add to any of these 3 position. Should I add to all 3 or just add to TOY to bring it up to a 3% weight?
Thanks

Q: Hi,
Happy Holidays. Please deduct as many credits as needed. I mainly follow your balanced portfolio, some of your other two portfolios and some US stocks etc. I just transferred my pension to a LIRA and have 30% cash to invest. With this pull back the timing might work out well. Retirement is 12 years away and my husband has pension for the fixed income portion of retirement. I plan gradually start to deploy 20% of the cash (still hold 10% cash for now) and add to all my current half positions and increase my holdings back to full positions that been beaten down such as TCL.A, DOO, NFI etc. I am not sure about adding to the following and wonder if they are a show me story or a good opportunity. Their portfolio weights have dropped to roughly the 1% range all in registered accounts with no tax loss advantage. Would you add to the following or just wait:
FB
Photon
COV
DOL
ENB
BOX
Any other stocks in your Balanced portfolio that that you would not add to at this time? Does this plan sound ok? Any other suggestions/advice
Thanks,
Kerri
