Q: Comments on NFI results? Where do these results leave your updated opinion. I believe I saw a nice dividend increase but would like your take.
Q: Please comment on quarterly results when you get a chance.

Q: I wished I'd asked this a couple weeks ago when I first came across this. NFI profile on 5i and TMX Money shows EPS last 12 months as $4.00. The company numbers are $2.75, y/e 2017=$3.06 and y/e 2016 $2.10. Can you shed any light on this discrepancy?
Expected EPS today I have $0.85. What do you have?

Q: I am down 30 percent at this point. I believe in the company and product. In your answer to Wes this morning you cited competition as a threat. Who is the potential competition in North America, and what are your thoughts on adding to a position at this time (regardless of weighting)
Thanks

Q: Thanks for the fast response on NFI , my question was for a sell or hold+recommendation for 3 years.
If I read between the lines I take it as a sell.
Thanks

Q: What triggers today's rather substantial drop in NFI out of the blue?
In late February my CIBC daily TA report warned that NFI could drop down to the $26.75 to $28.25 level in about a month or so. Do you have any other TA reports to support that may be this is where this name is heading? Thanks.

Q: With the quarterly misses from PBH, are you still excited about this company and recommending it or should I sell and use the funds in another recommended name in a similar space?
Q: Our portfolio largely follows your balanced model, and I see we're somewhat overweight in Consumer Non Cyclical. If you were to lighten up on one of these three, which would it be?
Q: Hello Team,
I a significant amount of cash to deploy in my RRSP and also in my TFSA.
I would like to build a mixed portfolio (50% income/50% growth) and would like to know what would your best 4 picks from each categories (income portfolio/growth portfolio) at this moment.
Would you have the same picks for the RRSP and the TFSA.
Thanks in advance!
Michel

Q: How much more upside do you see in this name (Shopify) and now does it being added to the index bode for near term upside? To what extent will it rally with ETFs and what not accumulating it through index funds? Thank you.
Q: hello 5i:
Long time holders of both of the above companies and intend to add to one. Have read the questions submitted in the past, but am wondering which of these companies would you favour:
A.) as far as total returns are concerned
B.) as far as safety is concerned
C.) as far as present valuations are concerned, adding in future growth possibilities
thanks, and deduct as many credits as necessary.
ps. Bought these companies YEARS ago, based on 5i recommendation. While they haven't quite been CSUs - what has? - my only regret is that we didn't buy more. Kudos to you Peter, as Ryan wasn't around back then.

Q: does 5i have the estimates for the release on thurs?? Thx
Q: In a post last week you noted that OTEX insiders own 2.2% of the company. This does not appear to be a significant amount. Thus, I was a little concerned to see that OTEX made the top 5 list for net insider selling on the Canadian Insider website, with over 200,000 shares sold. Do you think there is reason to be concerned?
Q: January 8 Parkland completedthe purchase of 75% of the shares of Sol Investments Limited, the largest independent marketer and supplier of petroleum products in the Caribbean. The CEO calls this: "...an opportunity to expand to a new geography and market through a strong business platform like Sol is an exciting time for Parkland. The assets and infrastructure we have acquired are proven, well known, and will enable Parkland to extend its supply advantage into a new region..." . Do you feel this is true, or is it reckless expanding into this region which, since I can remember, is a graveyard of investment capital.
