Q: There was a question asked this summer about your favorite stocks in both Canada and the US in each of the 11 sectors. I cannot seem to find it. Could you please answer that question again ? If your answer has not changed, could you please provide a link to that past answer ?

Q: I own WELL and am still up in a non-registered account. Would you consider a sell and switch to VHI for better future growth?

Q: In December I moved ATD from my TFSA to my non registered account where it promptly tanked and continues to be very volatile. I'm down over 5%. Is there a rule of thumb about how long one lets a once winning stock ride before throwing in the towel? As an older senior, I don't have a lot of years to ride out the loss, but am willing to for a while if it seems reasonable.

Q: I am planning to sell my shares in CNR. I have done well holding it for several years but there just appears to be opportunities for better price appreciating than CNR has over the past couple of years. I would prefer to replace it with a Canadian company. It does not need to be an Industrial. I am currently over weight financials. I am ok with some risk. What companies would you consider as a replacement?

Q: Hi 5i Team - Your three portfolios for Canadian stocks are very valuable and this includes the updates which I pay close attention to. Just wondering if you have considered developing one or more portfolios of U.S. companies, not necessarily using all the same criteria as for the Canadian ones, but something along the same lines.

Q: Given this morning's announcement and stock reactions, would you consider switching from BCE to either Telus or Rogers?

Q: I am an income investor. I try and purchase equities who raise their dividend by approximately at least the rate of inflation. I hold both BCE and Telus. Given the announcement today by BCE that they will not be raising their dividend in 2025, what are your thoughts on selling Telus and purchasing BCE simply due to the spread in their yields in order to pick up the higher BCE dividend as sort of a proxy to make up for the lack of an expected increase?

Q: As a follow up to my previous question on OTEX, I would also ask that you comment on analysts downgrades related to OTEX moving towards organic growth and away from growth by acquisition. Isn’t this simply a function of its low stock price relative to earnings and cash flow? If a growth-by acquisition company like CSU bought OTEX then it would be immediately accretive to earnings because CSU trading at a high PE multiple. The same analysts would applaud CSU for its ability to grow by acquisition and call the stock a buy. I am not saying that CSU is a bad company, far from it, but I am wondering if analysts would better serve investors by focusing more on the organic growth of a company and not on what it might acquire in the future.

My son has saved a bit of money and expressed an interest in equity investing.

He does not value, yet, the value of "paid for" advice and has selected 5 stocks his friends have suggested.

Q: If I was to start a new account with the holdings on your Balanced Equity Portfolio today, would I match the current month allocation for purchasing each holding? Is there any other advice you have re starting an account mirroring the Balanced Equity Portfolio?

Q: I own both of these and have a similar loss in each. Want to reduce amount of telcos. Which would you sell for a loss, or would you reduce both by half. Which would you keep for the longer term or some of both. Retired. Like the income but want some growth. I'm OK to hold for longer term.

Can you provide an update on growth drivers, YoY and forward looking for this co,pany. Is the underlying thesis still strong, with all the electrification needed in NA. And what support levels do you see? I'm looking to leg into a full position, but based on Apr - Jun levels of mid 90's it looks like we could have more floors down to go.

Q: Income model portfolio: The list of selected stocks seems quite stable with time, are they considered among the safest choices within TSX , or some other reason ? how to interpret the ratings ? I appreciate the choices but I wish to better understand the guidelines..

Q: 1) Which has the highest & lowest 10-yr total return potential according to 5i’s research & data?

2) What other defensive names in the US & Canada might provide similar (or better) risk-adjusted returns over 10 years, given current valuations?

Q: Hi,

Currently managing my parents investments. Apparently they have gotten wind of Bitcoin. They have asked me to take a flyer on some. That being said, if one were to buy it, would you prefer Galaxy?

Secondly, for a retired person's investment strategy, who would like a little tourque in their account, what 3 names would you suggest from either the gorwth or balance portfolio, to add to their account. Note, currently they have the majority of their investments in income related securitiies.
