Q: Hi, Topicus.com shares are expected to start trading around Feb 1, 2021. We have a decent holding in CSU. If we wish to increase our commitment to this group, where do you expect higher growth prospects - Constellation Software or Topicus.com ? I had read somewhere that as time passes by, CSU will behave more like a matured company (An exceptional one, though), looking for more ways to unlock shareholder value. Thanks

Q: I apologize for bringing up GUD, however there seem to be quite a few people waiting to jump on this stock. (I just did)
I have noticed as the price erodes there is a buyback, insider purchase or indication of possibly something coming up; creating a small flurry of buying until it deteriorates again.
This stock has been kept in the BE because of the co. strategy/positioning, cash position and track record of the CEO.
The CEO has stated you invest in GUD for your grandchildren -so the focus is on the business and not headlines or announcements.
It seems to me the insider/corporate buying is a signal to be patient - that they aren't asleep but are investing their own money and retained earnings back into GUD because it makes good business sense.
I can't imagine propping up the price for any other reason(please confirm).
Thank you

Q: In a question asked by Keith yesterday about position size of small caps, you answered that you would consider 3% to be a reasonable full position within a well-diversified portfolio.

Could you clarify if you meant a full position at the time of purchase or that you would tend to start trimming a small-cap position once it started to exceed that level?

Appreciate your insight.

Q: What is your opinion on the bid by Couche-Tard to take over Carrefour? Did management not do their "due diligence" as they seem to have been very surprised - that their was push back by the French government on the grounds of "food security".
Is the governments excuse a reasonable one or was it just to keep a major head office in country?
In the past Couche-Tard usually did very good job of looking for potential problems before attempting a takeover - usually only walking away because of a higher bid they were not willing to beat.

Q: I have held LSPD and GSY for quite a while now in an RRSP and RESP respectively with still 10 plus year timelines on those portfolios. I purchased LSPD at about $33 (it's now around $90) and GSY at about $50 (it's over $100 now) and I have taken some profits out along the way. Do you see these two continuing to do really well? I'm wondering if you would recommend just holding onto my remaining shares for the foreseeable future (say another 1-3 years) or would it make sense to sell while ahead and put that money in something with a bit more growth potential?
