Q: What is the reason why BEPC has had a recent decline of 25% and BEP 7%

Has this got something to do with the sale of shares by BAM.A

Q: ENB pays a good dividend and seems poised to do well; however, why would an otherwise dividend-oriented investor not sell somewhat out-of-the-money naked puts? If the market corrects to the point you are assigned on your puts, you are merely forced to buy at a price featuring a superior dividend yield while having collected a put premium. Thoughts? (I.e. about ENB and/or other stocks for which this might be a good strategy)

Q: Can you please give your thesis on MMX? My understanding is that it is a royalty company that will do well if prices of silver / gold go up because they will get more royalties - how does that work? Do they give money to exploration companies in exchange for royalties, and we are counting on mgmt to pick good projects given their expertise? How many properties are cash producing vs speculative?

Also, the PE ratio at ~100 seems really high, but is that the best way to be looking at it?

I'm happy with high growth, but what happens if silver/gold prices stay low for another year or two, are they in trouble?

Thank you!

Q: good afternoon

i have positions in both PBH and NWC. PBH is growing slowly but steadily and NWC has been basically flat, albeit with a decent dividend. What would you say to selling NWC ( no gain) and reinvesting the proceeds in PBH? I have long horizons. Thanks.

Q: I read in today's paper BEPC is doing a share issue which I think explains yesterday's +5% drop. According to the paper the money is not going to BEPC. Who is getting the money...are BAM.A or BEP.US going to see the benefit of the share issue? Would you agree that shareholders are experiencing dilution? (More shares issued but the cash not getting invested in the business).
Thanks,
Jim

Q: I was fortunate enough to purchase SHOP early on in what is now a RRIF and I sold some of the position to cover my initial cost. It has now grown to about 15% of the portfolio. I understand the merits of diversification but why sell a stock like this when not much else looks better and would be expensive. The odds of finding a similar story at its early stage are equally daunting. SHOP may at sometime fail to meet the inflated expectations but it is still worth holding even if it is suddenly worth just 12% of the portfolio. Tell me why I am wrong.

Q: I have purchased your Portfolio Analytics tool - so far so good. For my RRSP, I need to increase stock holdings from 2% (average) to 5%. This will assist me to better align my industry allocation while increasing my average stock percentage . Do you feel its a good time/right stocks to bring to a 5% holding - PBH, WSP, WELL and SIS? All are currently at approx. 2% and I have a 17 year investment horizon. If you feel WELL is too much risk can you suggest another health stock?
