Q: Hello, I'm a 62 year old (almost retired) investor who's focus is now nearly 100% on equities with sustainable and preferably increasing dividends, over time. I currently hold about 7.5% of my investment portfolio in ENB and I am considering raising that stake to 10%. I'd like to know if, in the history of the company, has Enbridge EVER cut its dividend? If it ever did are you able to provide any context as to why the company may have felt it necessary to do so? Thank you!

Q: The other day Brad was asking about the current trend of shifting to value and a concern with rising rates & inflation, and wondered whether it would good to lighten up on growth stocks. The 5I answer covered a number of points and suggested adding sector diversification or balancing out with some value stocks. and that “high grading” things a little might be prudent. Although I like the sector diversification they offer, if I wanted to do some “high grading”, would I want to move out of these 3 names? They have been increasing in value ( by the way, I came to consider them because of 5I, so thanks). Or do you see them as being sufficient "grade" to continue to hold? hank you for your excellent service.

Q: I am thinking about selling Couche Tard and buying GoEasy. I am concerned about what their confusing move for the French grocer meant. It was over so fast and they had to know the government would not been very keen. Was it signaling that they have run out of convenience store targets you think? What was that exercise telling investors? I know you like both but what one do you like better in my TFSA? When do you add sub prime exposure? When credit spreads are massive or when the economy gets back on solid footing? Thanks

Q: PHO Should we wait for a higher offer or sell as it is dead money and is trading at the take out price? Which stocks would be a good replacement either in Canada or US with the same risk profile as PHO?
Thank you for your service!

Q: I follow the Balanced Portfolio & am wondering why you continue to hold GUD in the portfolio. In the portfolio it is down 47%, since Dec 2020 the price has remained at its low & the stock pays no dividend. Does 5iResearch see a favourable turn around in the near future.
Thanks … Cal

Q: Dear 5i,
I originally bought this for around $49; then the company adjusted when the split for BEPC occurred. Some time later, I thought it ok to sell them at around $70. How do I figure out if a re-entry point for BEP.UN is good today at around $45, given that if I look at my brokerage graph the historical value of what I paid at $49 then, appears as around $25 now ie the graph has changed because of the split?
If it is tough to calculate/compare history, could you advise if today is a good price - thinking this time I should hold them a longer 7+ years.
Thank you for helping me,
Hilary
