Q: So I have added BN and GSY as more growth orientated stocks to my conservative ( banks, utilities, telecom, reits ) non registered account and now looking to add two of these seven names to the mix. Which look the most attractive regarding valuation, balance sheet and growth and why ? Thanks. Derek

Q: I need to free up some cash in an un-registered account for a large purchase. Which of the above holdings have the worst outlook. So I guess rank in order you would sell them. I will likely need to sell 2 of them. I don't hate any of them but something needs to go to free up the cash.

Q: I know AEM is one of the most frequently mentioned gold stocks when 5i is asked for a gold stock recommendation. Since October the price of gold has essentially been a straight line up and to the right. I see no insider buying at AEM. What are we missing? They seem to be a non performer!

Q: Shop has an extremely high churn rate.
That means that they cannot retain their customers.Many businesses try Shopify but throw in the towel after a while as its not customers friendly.
With higher fees the churn rate will even be higher.
Why does nobody see this and you do not mention it either.
This will go the way of Nortel eventually?

Q: Hi, Thanks for your conviction and rock solid positive view on the company helping many of us to remain calm when stock was selling off during last quarter of 2022. In more than many ways, stock price has supported your thesis, latest proof being company's ability to increase their prices by 33%. Do you think that last 3 weeks move and specially Today's 11% move in a day was caused by fundamental reasons like this price increase, Deutsche Bank upgrade and market expectation of strong results ? Or, it's the short sellers caught off guard and running for cover ? We know that 5i increased SHOP position recently in the Balanced Portfolio( and we followed suit ), which proved to be a great tactical move !! Has the recent price action influenced your outlook on the company and its stock, for better or worse ? Thank You.

Q: I need to add a company to my long term (>5 years) growth portfolio. I am tolerant of volatility and risk in this portfolio because I am young and I don’t need the money. Would you go with Goeasy or Shopify here?

Q: Please provide rationale for holding BRNE over BN or BAM. I hold a small position (in a registered account) in BRNE and was thinking of flipping it into my BN holding but am I missing something. Is there something in the BRNE business that could create long-term outperformance over BAM/BN?

I have held Acuity in my portfolio for the past few years .
Over that time in your responses to people asking questions if the company is a buy , sell or hold .You have responded it is a hold .
The stock has gone down from over 20.00 to under 3.00 .
In the long term do you see any potential of the stock going back over $20.00 .

Q: Hi Team,
Looking to have your thoughts on why Topicus is not participating in the recent tech rally that's been going on...especially yesterday? I know its a odd trader. But is there anything fundamental holding it back? Or do big investors (fund managers and such) avoid it because they are not share issuers? This being said...do you also see this as an opportune to add, with anticipating that TOI shares will eventually "catch up" to the over all tech bounce here? Thanks for your thoughts!
