Q: What companies are held in BN and at what percentage for each stock/company (I know Brookfield partners is no longer listed), ie. BEP, BIP, BAM etc.
I know this question has been asked many times but I could not find the answer.
Thanks!

Q: Hi All at 5i! I have 44K in CPD in a non registered account which provides me monthly income via dividends. I prefer a stock which pays a decent dividend but also offers some growth. I would like to sell my CPD which has given me no growth and reinvest in better growth/ dividend paying stocks. Could you offer me the names of 5 such stocks?.
Cheers,
Tamara

Q: Hi,

Do you think that the Growth Portfolio is poised to outperform the balanced portfolio moving forward? You've mentioned in other threads that small caps have underperformed in the past 5 years; is that compared to large caps, or is that compared to an index?

Also, when comparing both portfolios to American ETFs such as VFV, they both seem to underperform. Which portfolio would you recommend for a long-term 40-year hold in a TFSA to maximize returns? Or would you recommend a different investment into an American fund to maximize returns over that same time horizon?

I like the strategy of investing in small-cap stocks for higher growth but also don't want to disregard the balanced portfolio if you believe that small-caps will continue to underperform moving forward.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts

Q: On Sept 11, Otex announced it has received authorization for the OpenText IT Management Platform (ITMX) from the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP®) (https://finance.yahoo.com/news/opentext-management-platform-achieves-fedramp-142600427.html ) .

You mentioned before that OTEX may need time to integrate previous M/A. With the FEDRAMP approval, would it be a buy now? Or would you consider stronger stocks to be better total returns over the next 3-4 years? Please rank the attached companies (knowing that they're all very different).

Thank you so much for your insights!

Q: Hi 5i team,

What would be your current 5 best (highest conviction) buys in each of the following categories please.
1. small cap
2. mid cap
Hold target is 3-10 years or longer.
I prefer these categories as they seem to have the most torque (in the right environment) albeit also the most risk.

Cheers,
Steve

Q: With the markets at all time highs, are there certain stocks you think people can scoop up or add to that have good growth opportunities at a reasonable price? I know 5i is not usually worried about buying companies at 52 week highs, but it is still something difficult for me!

Q: I own both Propel and Goeasy. Goeasy I've owned for quite some time, Propel I have been adding to slowly for the last 4 months. I would like to continue to own both. Would you balance the two out by selling some Goeasy to equal out the value of the two? If not, what sort of ratio would you suggest.

Q: Hello Peter,
Given your last reply on well at 16 times forward earnings, is this stock mis priced by the market? I would think for growth company, investors would pile into the stock given the current decrease in rates which help small caps.. Any comments? Also, do you think xsu can go much higher or has it rallied already in expectation of rates going down? Lastly, i know you don't believe in market timing but when some stocks surge due to recent announcements on lower rates, is it worth selling and buying it back when markets settle.. much appreciated.

Q: Your return on the balance portfolio is around 14% per year since inception. I am updating my own personal financial model, and is this a reasonable return to use? I presume this number includes yearly dividends. It does seem a little high given it is in a low interest rate period but that may be irrelevant.

Q: If somebody mentioned already on this forum I missed it. Congratulations to 5i for having a handfull of stocks that they have endorsed to us members on making the TSX Top 30 list, https://www.tsx.com/en/news?id=1053 , the 30 best performers over the last 3 years. I, along with lots of your members I'd guess am very happy to own a few of the stocks on the list, tx to the team at 5i. What are a few names you'd guess at making the next list next?

Q: Hi 5i Team - The guest on BNN Market Call today, said that WELL has to grow into itself since it's trading at at 100 times 2025 (I assume earnings). At the same time he praised it for its strong organic growth with 98% returning revenue and 37% revenue growth. I'm a little confused by these numbers. Could you perhaps put them into a perspective that I can understand. Thanks.

Q: Can you please give me your current opinion on Goodfellow potential. Will they be in a position to pay dividend ms in coming year? What is their growth potential in current macro environment of reducing interest rates? How would they compare to your favorite small cap industrial companies? Is it worth investing in at the moment or best left alone for greener pastures?
