Q: Hi
In our cash accounts we sold energy stocks at the start of the year and have a large capital gains
Would be wise to sell BN for the loss and buy BRK.B?
Then get into BN later
Thank you
Mike

Q: Generic question: according to one money manager, a number of stocks are now being priced at “zero” …. clearly not zero , but well below traditional metrics for evaluating stocks.( FRC the most obvious example)
AND also arguing that this has not happened since 2008.
As always I am interested in the 5i perspective, please and thank you.
And can you think of stocks that fall into that category?

Q: Why is Magna being vastly outperformed by Linamar and Martinrea?
Q: Hi, Transports got hit hard ( Fedex results and general market sell off?) on Friday, pulling TFII and ATS with it, down 3% and 4%, respectively to $159 and $54. Do you continue to believe these two companies to be your favorites in the sector ( besides CNR/CP ) ? If so, is it a decent price level to accumulate/add to our very small 0.50% position in each company or you would prefer to wait ? Thank You
Q: Hi Team,
Any comments on Topicus aquisition announced Friday? I don’t usually see them release much on most their moves, so does this mean this one is of more significance?
Thanks ,
Shane

Q: I have a 29% loss in BN and am thinking of harvesting the tax loss. Should I be concerned about missing out on a significant bounce before I have chance to buy it back?

Q: I have been following this stock for several years and admit the chart looks nice , but find it extremely difficult to buy, especially with a
P/ E ratio of 50 in these difficult times.
Is this stock “ cheap “ on a historical basis ? Why is it so strong and what would make its strengths
weaken ? Is PE x50 justified ? Thanks. Derek

Q: I currently hold BN in a TFSA account. In your last report you suggested to increase BAM to 3% weight. Would you suggest this for BN as well?

Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Chart is certainly upwards to the right after earnings.
Anything else powering this forward other than upgrades and earnings.
Although that surely is enough.

Q: Hi Atz will report within four weeks approximately. How many new stores have they opened since last report? Are there any new stores set to open before summer? What is your intuition as to surplus inventory reported last quarter? If one wants to invest would you advise waiting until they report? I know you favour the company and it’s share have fallen 20 percent since last report. Spring is almost here and new shoots are sprouting.
Thanks and good day

Q: Switch AC for TFII? I want to keep the sector. I was thinking of first waiting for AC to bounce of its drop. What do you think? Thanks.
Q: Hi 5i,
A couple of somewhat related questions:
I'm curious about the 'expression of interest' someone (or some thing) may have made known to CTS management in the past while. Would a potential purchaser be allowed a peek at the quarterly numbers before they were released yesterday in furtherance of its due diligence research, or have to await the release like the rest of us? My guess is the former, tied to a confidentiality agreement, but I'm not sure if that's the case with a publicly traded company.
And, also wondering: if the numbers were decent - as I thought they were - and no purchase deal gets announced quite soon, is it safe to assume there's likely nothing brewing? Or is it all just a black box until something - anything - is formally announced?
Thanks!
Peter

Q: Has your view changed that CTS could well be $9 in light of their earnings? If so, specifically what has changed? From your comments today, it appears the flavour doesn't quite taste as good now.
