Q: I own the companies in question in an unregistered investment account. To offset some capital gains I was thinking of divesting myself of some of these investments. Please rate them in order of disposition in your opinion. I am a retired investor who believes in companies with a history of dividends. Additionally, can you suggest 3 potential investment replacements, thanks.

Q: In your answer to Terry today you stated "we would suggest also looking at sector exposure in this decision, to see that sectors align with objectives." My objective is to secure a very comfortable retirement that includes travel with investments that are as tax efficient as possible. I'm 63, and struggling with my sectors. How would one with align their sectors with this objective. I know sectors are a personal decision and you can't give personal advice but I'm looking for an example as a starting place to make my decision. Thank you

Q: My TFSA has been pathetic due to a severely depressed share price of Lightspeed, down 60 %, and the remaining 4 stocks remaining flat over 5 years.

I'm considering selling them all and starting over. I have at least a 5 year time frame.

Which 4 or 5 Canadian or US stocks would you recommend to boost my returns?

Secondly, would you double up on Lightspeed, keep it, on or let it go?

It is 25 % of my TFSA.

Q: I know you like all of the above for a TFSA - so do I - but need to raise some cash and am struggling with what to sell - is there one you would sell first? or maybe trim 2?

Q: In the name of "cutting the weeds," I'm down 20% or more on the above names (LIT:US; CTS:CA; TCN:CA; TSU:CA and TMO:US.) Are there any of them that you would get rid of at this time. Or do you think that they will have more upside from this point. If you don't like one, which would you recommend to replace it. Thanks.

Q: According to portfolio tracking and analysis, I am short on basic materials, consumer cyclical, consumer defensive, health care and industrials. I’m also significantly short on international equities. With this in mind, can you provide your top 3 to 5 companies for each sector to increase my holdings in basic materials, consumer cyclical, consumer defensive, health care and industrials. Q: Hi 5i,

Looking to maintain and potentially expand exposure in my portfolio in the auto industry. Currently have held BWA for 3+ years and feel as though I could be putting this capital to better use elsewhere. Would you be able to recommend any alternatives?

I am not interested in investing in a direct manufacturer like FORD/GM/TESLA since I have no idea how this EV market shift will go. Feel as though the suppliers would be a safer bet.

Q: I need to liquidate some equities to be able to pay out my RMD. I am inclined to sell the above 2 stock (NVEI and PBH), seeing only downward momentum compared to the other equities (above) I have that show steady or upward momentum. Might you agree?

Q: PBH: 5i continues to sing the praises of this company and I am not sure why? last 7 years stock same range with peaks and valleys, high P.R. low ROE & high debt. I thought about it at around, I think $79.00; but, bought GSY which looked better to me using every metric. Have owned IGM for long time and added to that when price was low - best of breed IMHO.
