Q: My MGA is sagging but I still like the company's future. My ATS is doing fine, thank you very much. I'm thinking about selling MGA and increasing my ATS to a full position. Long time horizons but in say five years, which company would you rather be in today? thanks

Q: Hi,
I need to sell all the stocks in my non-registered account to access the cash in the next 2-5 years. I will be selling many of the stocks listed, in the next few weeks. Can you list them in SELL order with a few comments on the rationale.
Also, please list the top 10 Canadian stocks (from this list or others) for longterm holding, since I will buy some of them back in one of my registered accounts (RRSP, TFSA), likely over the next 2 years.
Thank you,
Camille

Q: I would like to sell either one of NTR or CJT, both had been slipping this year. I would like to lock in the gains before they slide any further. Which one of these two names you would recommend to sell and not likely to regret later? Thanks.

Q: Dear 5i,
In regards to BEPC:CA, BEP.UN:CA, BEPC:US, BEP:US and stock Beta.
Your web site reports: 0.80, 0.76, 1.09 and 0.87 respectively.
Does your web site report 3 Year Beta? If not, what is it? What is a reasonable Year Beta statistic to consider? Can you help explain why the Beta varies quite dramatically with the four different Brookfield Renewable tickers? There doesn't seem to be any obvious correlation between the Corporate versions and the different Currencies?

Q: Hi 5i team,
I have a growth and long term outlook and looking to trim some losers and replace with some winners. Of the following stocks, do you feel any need to hold for the long term? Also, what are some US/CAD replacements you would recommend and can you rank from highest to lowest based on overall strength?
Thanks 5i team.

Q: A guest on market call yesterday recommended LNR as a stock that has no debt and projected to grow 25 to 30% over the next few years. Could this be a potential double over the next five years?
Q: I own goeasy and am thinking of selling it and buying google what do you think of this.
Q: Hi, There has been recent commentary and reports from analysts that trucking sector is witnessing a slowdown and getting hurt with lower rates. They also say that these headwinds may persist for at least later half of this year. ( or longer, depending upon, how recession scenario plays out ). Recent results from companies in the sector has only confirmed this.
Specific to TFI, analysts have commented that the discount is already reflected in the current valuation and M&A will likely offset the slowdown impact to certain extent, over time. However, consensus is that any near term recovery is unlikely.
We have a small <1% position in TFII and were contemplating to eliminate it and use the funds to add to existing 1% position in CP or to further add to ATS { better momentum and visibility ).
What are your thoughts ?
Thank You

Q: Maple Leaf Foods has been range bound for 7 years, maybe even top left to bottom right in trend. They've announced a significant share buy back authorization. Not sure whether they will execute on this. You have been fairly neutral on MFI . Any thoughts on whether this or any other recent news will change your thinking on this stock
Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,
Regarding Nutrien, I read your answer to 5i member Maureen, and also just finished today's article in the Globe and Mail:"Nutrien shares fade on disappointing first-quarter earnings" by Ian McGugan. In your view, is Ian's thesis valid, and would now be a good time to sell NTR if one has already made some money on it? What would be some better (?) and less volatile options in the Materials sector?
Thanks as always for your insight.

Q: I may have missed a few, but pretty sure I've made every mistake trading in the stock market, although thanks to 5i I've done quite well over the years. Prehaps my biggest mistake is holding on to loosers too long and taking big hits. Recently I've promised myself to sell when I'm down 25%. So, I'm now down 25 or more % on these 4 companies but dont want to sell. What says you?
Q: Looking for some suggesting for a quality consumer cyclical company in Canada or US. Maybe a growth company or two and an established company with great financial metrics but not growing as much.
Look forward to your suggestions. My time frame is irrelevant - just want good co’s

Q: A general question.
What happens if shareholders don't vote in the annual meeting's voting ballot that we receive from companies in our mail?
Mostly it's about board elections, approving executive pays, approving the auditing company and a few other shareholder proposals that we are not fully aware of and it consumes quiet a bit of our time on voting as sometimes there are 15 or more questions.
If we don't submit our vote is it considered as voted as per management recommendations or management gets to vote on our behalf or its considered abstain ?
