Would you prefer one over the other, and if yes, which one and why? Do you think the pharma sector will do well in 2015.

Q: Hello Peter and team,

I am getting ready to make my 2015 TFSA contribution on Jan 2nd, and with some cash in that account I would like to invest in one or two growthy stocks. What are your top 5 suggestions for a TFSA at this time (holding period is 3 years minimum).

Also can you list your top 3 TFSA suggestions in the Information Technology and the Health Care sectors.

Please rank your choices highest to lowest.

Happy New Year,

Paul J.

Also, once an investor joins the wait list for a review, is there a rough estimate of timing?

Q: Happy Holidays! All the best to you and your families! I currently have a 1.5% weighting in Catamaran and would like to slowly bring it to a full position in my portfolio. Do you feel today's price is a good time to start adding? Also, do you have any suggestions for a cyber security stock in Canada or the US, something like PANW? I have long time frame and high tolerance for risk.

Q: It seems that noses are out of joint in the recent Couche-Tard acquisition of The Pantry. With an investigation being launched against The Pantry directors for an alleged breach of fiduciary trust, what would be the implications to ATD? Would/should ATD walk away from this deal, or would/should it simply raise its share price, if it is found that they did indeed "underpay" for Pantry shares. Your analysis of this situation would be appreciated. Thanks, as always.

Q: Hi 5i team,
being an active investor for about 20 years, I calculated my industry allocation for the first time (meaning: I focus more on company selection): consumer staples 22%, industrials 20%, consumer discretionary 15%, materials 13%, financials 11%, energy 6%, healthcare 6%, technologies 6%,utilities 0%, telecom 0%. I invest in companies that I understand the products, and financial statements (including notes): my "financials" do not include banks or insurance companies.
On these information only and the fact that I won't be needing this capital for the next 20 years: how would you qualify my investor type/profile? What type of economy (refer to growth, inflation, etc.) should I be afraid of? What should be the first corrections to be made to my asset allocation (please suggest companies to buy)? Which industry weights should I aim (S&P/TSX seemed flawed, is S&P500 better?)? Any other comments would be appreciated.
Thank you, and the best in this holliday season, Eric

I still,do not understand what happened. Who got the shares? I recall when other large companies sun off portion of their business shareholders received shares of the spin off. Can you please explain what happened.

Q: I'd like any updated thoughts on Dollarama (DOL). I currently hold it and have seen it rise significantly over the last few months. They had good earnings, but the rise seems to be greater than expected. Although I'm not complaining, is it overbought? Prior to becoming a 5i member, I probably would have sold already, so I'd like your thoughts on whether I should keep holding.

Thanks for everything, and I hope your team has a wonderful Christmas!
