Q: Hi,
I purchased FSV on June 1 and I wasn't completely sure whether I purchased the pre-split entity or the post-split entity as Colliers has not shown up in my portfolio. Yesterday, it showed a loss of about 60% (another member commented on this drop) and a price of approximately $20. Today, my price on BMOInvestorline is showing about $80 but the TSX is showing it today at about $34. I called BMO and they said I had indeed purchased it pre-split and that Colliers would appear in a few weeks (which I thought was odd).

Do you have any thoughts on the above? Are there more than one FSV trading now? Are any other members facing a similar situation?

Q: What do you think are the implications for the coming King vs. Burwell US Supreme court verdict on PHM's business model? I haven't heard to much about this case but it appears relevant to PHM as I think they target highly subsidized indications with large reimbursements. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Which side is better for PHM and do you think they will win?

Q: For the past few weeks,guests from BNN, and other news media have really been expressing their concern about valuations and 10 indices being at an all time high. Examples I have heard we are somewhere into the 9 inning.
Should we be stock piling cash for a severe pull back.
What is 5i expectations over the next few months? What are your honest thoughts going forward. I will hand up and listen to your answer:)

Q: Hi Peter and team
I would like to add to my son's RRSP account but not sure which sector to add to with what stock choice.
Following is current holdings:
Consumer Discretionary 4% with DHX.B DHX Media
Healthcare 4% with PHM Patient Home
Telecom 15% with Telus
ETF 19% CDZ
Utilities 14% with BEP.UN Brookfield
Industrials 22% with BIN and WSP Progressive Waste and WSP Global
Energy 4% with SGY Surge
Info Tech 14% with SYZ Sylogist and CXI Currency Exchange
I am thinking of EFN Element Financial for Financial Sector
or ATD.B to increase Consumer Discretionary. Or do you recommend something else with more growth opportunity.
It would be about a 5% weighting.

Received my 5i subscription as a birthday present and I'm truly loving it.
My wife's former employer's managed RSP portfolio has been transferred (all in cash) and consolidated into her general RSP fund; she is now sitting with the following positions:
FC.DB.C 3.1%
CNQ 2.9%
VET 3.8%
EFN.N 4.4%
HCG 4.2%
DIV 4.6%
RAM770 6.4%
CASH 70.6%

What appropriate equities from your Model Portfolios would fill in the holes as to sector/asset allocation and what would be a suitable cash position? To date, we have researched and like the following equities: BNP, WSP, GUD, NPI, CCL.B

I'm new to your service and maybe you have answered my question somewhere on you web site.
How do you feel about stop losses and if you use them how do you determine where to set them? Lately I have been wrestling with trailing stops, and trying to move my stops with as the price rises. What do you think?

We are looking to invest the 10k in 5 equal weighted stocks.

The balance of her Investments are in a well balance ETF RRSP Portfolio, she is missing the growth portion.

Great appearance on bnn!!
For a portfolio management approach I understand the importance of setting position limits being 5%, 10% and trimming positions if they breach a limit. However, holding a company for years can result in a position being 20% of a portfolio etc.
What argument can you make to sell or trim positions in a good company that pays a dividend of 4%+ but would be too large of a weighting your intended position limits.
Bottom line question: I know some people have a certain great stock that might be 20%+ in their portfolio. Those are difficult to sell/trim when they pay a nice dividend too.
