Q: Hi I currently own some of this stock. The company is being sold to it's American parent company. Do you recommend selling the stock at it's current price, wait to see if price goes higher, or keep the stock and convert it into the American stock? Thank you for your response.

Q: I'm trying to understand the above 2 companies which has a really high P/E, and yet has been refer to as a favorite. What other measurement should I be watching aside from P/E.

Q: Peter you have mentioned previously there is a large number of shorts on the S&P.(near record number since 2008).Is there a site that tracks the number of shorts on the S&P? If you had choice, what type of account would you hold a stock like QSR in? Reason i ask is the volume of trading is almost triple in the USA. i was thinking of buying it in the US portion of my RRSP. Also,what impact do you think the stock will have if interest rates rise in the US, and the Republican Party wins the election? Seems i have asked a three part question, charge me accordingly!

Q: This question may be out of your area of expertise but I will assume, maybe.
I have come across a fascinating investment, income vehicle. BMO retail has a product called -BMO Cash Flow Plus Deposit - Here is a quick overview.
On a deposit of $100,000 they will pay you, tax free, $500 per month for 15 years. This is a "return of capital"
After that time a sum will be returned to you which is the original amount that BMO has invested rather aggressively. Needless to say that with the 15 year compounding timeline and investment posture this could be substantial. This would be taxed as a "capital gain" There are a few other features but this is the gist. On the surface this is interesting. Any hidden aspects or dangers?

Q: Hello 5i team,
I am currently up 48% on CXI and am contemplating switching to Savaria (SIS). This would be within my TFSA. I am overweight financials (as most Canadians probably are..) and currently underweight industrials.
Would you endorse such a move; are there any "red flags" you would see to such a switch? Any thoughts or comments would be much appreciated.

Q: Are you aware of cases where guest portfolio managers on BNN got caught recommending stocks that the firm/themselves are shorting? It's hard to believe it's not happenning. My best example is Bruce Campbell of StoneCastle. His past picks are absolutely horrible (-43%, 93%, -57%, -88%, -90%, -70%, -51%). Are regulators actively looking out for manipulation through recommendations on BNN? I really hope so. I use this site to review past picks. Q: This Co. has excellent EPS grwth on TTM basis, almost 25% ROE, low debt & P.R.. Can you tell me more about their customers and whether this is a good long-term buy right now: dividend grwth & have they bought any co. lately. I need to diversify with an industrial - have none right now.

I tried to investigate further but any info I found was not clear to this tyro. Please, what do you see when you delve into your sources?
