Q: I am not sure if my question was cut of. I did it on my phone. I would like to get your perspective on the number of companies that should be in various portfolios e.g. Income portfolio, growth portfolio and capital appreciation portfolio. For example 20 - 5% each, 10 - 5% each and 20 - 2.5 % each or some other combination.

How do you figure out the exact dividend percentage you receive when you bought a stock at different dates, different prices, and different quantities ?

For example, I bought 1000 Savaria (sis) at 7.90 on Jun.7, 2016, 500 at 11.30 on Nov. 11th, 500 at 10.70 on Nov. 11, and 500 today at 10.52

Stock price of BAM.A had dropped by just under 10% from 3 years ago, just wondering what's happened to this stock. Would it be a hold, buy or sell now on this company? Your comments going forward would be much appreciated.

And on the other side, 5i continues to recommend many of these names as investable today.

How is an investor to reconcile buy recommendations(at what feels like short term high) with declining stock prices and the scepter of a January pull back after the 2016 tax year passes.....and when the typical selling period begins for previous year winners?

If one is not a trader, what investor action is to be taken to ensure long term success with volatile names that appear to be in decline today?

(as a note: I may not be in some of these names without 5i.....good(a few nice gain positions-thanks) and bad(dealing with volatility)

Q: I manage my husband's and my TFSA's as if they are one account so we do not duplicate the stocks in the 2 accounts and can have a reasonable size of position. We have a similar weighting of ALA, REI.UN, SIA, WSP, ZEB, BEP.UN, CGX, and HR.UN and PKI, and a double weighting of CPD and CDZ. We currently have about $110K in the two accounts and $20K of that is in cash. Can you suggest what we might add to or change in the above list, considering that we prefer income paying securities with some growth prospects and want the TFSA's to act independently of our other investments as a relatively conservative growth vehicle.

Q: What is your outlook on these companies for 2017?

Q: I thought I was being careful but I've still ended up overweight in industrials ( 17%) owning the above 5 companies. Is there any chance I could relabel any of them to get down to a better level, or must I drop some? If i "relabel" ECI as consumer staples, and SIS as health, I bring my holding down to 12%. Still high, I know, but acceptable? If I must sell some of them, would you rank them in order of reverse preference ?( Keep to not keep) Many thanks for your steady hand as always. I would like your advice on whether you think I should continue to hold the above or to sell , take my losses and move on. Apparently there is some sector rotation going on. I noticed some quality names can go on sale pretty quickly, could you name some non-resources that look good to buy.

To my question on TOY; the drop today of nearly 10% has occurred with only 100+/-unit bids & trades this AM at 6-8500 - whereas daily volume is generally around 50-60,000 trades. Just curious & would appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Q: I currently own Loblaw (L), ADW.A, and ECI in the Consumer sector. I would like to add PBH to give me two holdings in each of Consumer Staples and Consumer Discretionary, but I suspect CTC.A is a'safer' pick. So I am debating between the improved diversification by taking PBH versus the 'safer' choice of CTC.A. Which should I add? I am looking for steady dividend growth with holdings that might hold up better in down/bear markets. Thanks as always.

Q: What is your opinion on CST's potential for growth within 12 months? They have proven their technology on two fronts, first as their pilot plants were successful in proving the company's claims, second on successfully defending their patents. Lastly, would you see CST as a takeover potential?

Q: Can you give me per share AFFO for each of the above companies since inception? I'm concerned about share dilution in both of the above. Thanks a lot.
