Q: Which of the Brookfield funds do you prefer for a retirement income portfolio. I'm looking for something with reliable income and some capital growth. Is this a good time to buy any of these funds as they have had quite a run, should I wait for a pull back?
Thanks

Q: Can you provide an updated assessment on SunLife (SLF)given recent results? I am looking to invest new money in blue chip dividend payor for son's TFSA account and also considering telcom (BCE) as an alternative. Should I go with SLF for now given the recent run up in BCE stock price? Thanks again. John C

Q: I have a strict portfolio plan I have followed for 20 plus years into retirement. 30 holds devoted to income and 5 to 10 for growth. average holding is 3%.quarterly earning on a singular basis don't generally worry me. However AD=3.25% of portfolio/ cost base $27.00 held since 2013,BDT=3.00%/cost base is $12.10 held since 2013 have been holds for their dividends. BOS=2%/cost $15.25 was bought for capital gain hopes. All three are having negative earnings currently. Please offer your views as to the stability of them going forward and if I should reduce or exit any based on the poor results. Thanks

Q: I have been trying to decide between SPB and CHE. My own thinking concerns an improving outlook for the chemicals industry. Do you agree that CHE would benefit more than SPB in this regard? Or do you think I should just look elsewhere entirely for growth in the chemicals sector? And can you comment on how SPB looks post-earnings? Thank-you very much.
